Weekday games die down but it's not dead at the Borgata. Even the regs aren't too great that play during the week.

I'm thinking about heading to the borg for the 350 buy in tournament on wed, are the hotel rates for tournament participates only for the wpt event or is it for any event? If it's for all events what would be the best way about guaranteeing a room at that rate? Calling and booking the room before I head down or trying to book when I get there since I'll then have proof that I've registered? I know there have been some room price questions on the past couple pages but I haven't seen anything regarding the special rate for tournament participants, just regular poker rate, thanks.

You can call customer care 1.866.myborgata or 609.317.1000 to book your room for the poker open. Ask for the Tournament Rate! You will need to show at least one tournament receipt and the end of your stay to ensure the rate. It does not have to be the main event, it can be any event.

Check out the Tournament Circuit forum on 2+2 for more information

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but 200 pages is a lot...

What is the parking situation? It's free, right? But more importantly, is it safe? I remember going to Hollywood Casino on a trip to L.A, and you'd have to be suicidal to park in the lot (very dark & far away from the front doors). A lot of people valet parked there.

Is the parking area at Borgata well-lit and safe? Let's assume I'd be leaving after midnight.

Or should I valet park? And while I'm at it, what is the fee to valet park?

Parking is safe & the "Surface Lot" is directly outside the poker room. The garage requires a stroll through the casino to reach the poker room. The fee for either is $5.00; it's free if you have a Borgota Black Card. Valet is the same price, but on weekends the wait to get your car from valet is sometimes lengthy. Self-park is the way to go.

No worries at all about safety. The Borg draws a better caliber of patron and is away from the boardwalk community, where you should have concerns about safety.

RE: parking question: also realize there's two places to self park, the garage and the surface lot. The latter is much closer to the poker room (go up the stairs into the B, and it's on your left just past the racebook).

Also, this month the Borgata sent out free parking passes to people on the mailing list. So get on that for next time! :-)

Black Label imo ftw. Don't need free parking passes ever.

I'm thinking if you have a black card you aren't worrying about the five bucks anyway.

And, if you don't have a Black Label card... it's only $5.

Don't sweat the small stuff.

You'll have to click on the image below to blow up the charts to a viewable size. I have displayed the data 6 ways: Overall, Friday only, Saturday only, Sunday only, Daytime only, and Nighttime Only.

In my opinion the results are promising. There is not a big drop in the average number of 10-20 tables running. Overall, the number of limit tables has increased so the PCG is definitely attracting new players.

Also, the PCG has become a permanent fixture to fill the void between 3-6 and 10-20. Before the PCG introduction, out of 17 game reports studied, the 5-10 game ran only 2 times. Since PCG introduction, out of 28 game reports, the PCG has run 26 times (was only missing on early Sunday afternoon reports).

Hope this is enlightening! Now back to work on the stuff I actually get paid for...
bumping for the new page

Wrong, in my case anyway. I hate paying for parking, especially if I'm just stopping by for a bit. It's the main reason I got a black card.

I heard rumor of a Pink Stud 8 game today trying to get going at 2pm...is that going down?

Place should be jumping all day and night.

Game update to kick off Labor day weekend?

You actually "earned" that Black Card. They just don't give them out to people that ask (unless you have a premium card from another house).

And, really... $5 is NOT a big deal. If you're hopping from room to room, you just ask for a parking transfer (a receipt) the first time you pay. That gets you free parking at the next place. Now, you're down to $2.50

Hey Stan... how about upgrading me to a Black Card for being an Ambassador?

Stan, any chance of a live game report?

I'll be over at around 6:30....is the Pink O8 still going strong?

My GF will be making the trip with me. She'll be playing one or two $120 SNGs. SNGs still running on a busy holiday weekend?

Also, at some point I'll be "that guy" that has his GF sitting behind him. Don't make fun of me too much...I promise I'm not a giant D-Bag...haha
