I might be able to make the trip down this weekend. Does anyone know how the WPT ME affects the cash games? I'm looking to play around 1/2NL or 3/6LHE-10/20LHE

Is that always the fault of the players, though? There was one time when there were 7 or 8 people on the list, and the game wasn't called because the floor was waiting for more people. It seemed like a huge waste, because the list goes stale as time goes by, and some people on the list give up. I have no idea why there should ever be a wait for the first table in a game.

It won't affect them in a bad way if that's what you're asking.

You're going to have 15-20-ish tables (and more as you get after 6pm) of 1-2 to choose from. You're gonna have 3 or more tables of 3-6 and prob 5 tables of 10-20.

I also doubt you'll find people busting from a $3,500 tourney then coming to your 1-2 table and running it over Tom Dwan style...

Haha wasn't what I was worried about. I was just wondering if there would be less/more traffic (longer wait for a table?) and if the room gets sort of second rate service in terms of waitresses and dealers cause of the tourney. Although I'd take borgatas second rate over any other ac casinos first rate any day of the week.

However by the sounds of it it seems like Stan is doing a good job of keeping all the cash games running throughout the tourney.

In my specific example, it was right at 2pm the announced start time of the game.

I don't really blame them for not starting a game with 7 or 8 people on the list in certain circumstances. I trust their experience for when people will actually show up and when they won't. I firmly believe that the casino wants the games to go, since in the Borgata's case there's almost never a case of not having an available dealer or table. So if they're not calling a game I have to believe its because they know what they're doing.

This DEFINITELY doesn't apply to all casinos, but I think it does to the Borgata.

Last Saturday night we had a streak of three or four dealers in a row in my 5/10 NL game that were not good. They were dealers brought in because of the tournaments.

borgata pi55es on the competition in everyway, ive had a thinly veiled brag since i moved to atlantic city just over a week ago (decided to move to vegas soon - its too depressing living in ac on your own - very understanding landlady bless her) and played every casino that has an nl holdem cash game with the exception of resorts and the hilton, im going to write a very indepth post about my experiences there and a true UNBIASED guide to the best and worst of atlantic city casinos with regard to NL holdem/poker cash and tourneys and surrounding facilities, that said, stan and the guys at borgata are doing a great job, and one of their rivals even said to me that in ac, everyone is just trying to keep up with the borgata -for poker - that is impossible - keep it up guys

I will give a complete game report a little later in the day but i would like to report that the WPT Main event has moved passed the 1000 entry mark.

Is there every mixed game tables or PO/8 1-2 or 2-4 games going on? If so are weekends better for them?

is the $100/200 NL game at Borgata now a regular occurrence, i.e. every weekend, or is it just during major tourneys? Last night Alan Meltzer was playing with some of the tournament pros who are in town to play the ME (JC Tran, D'Agastino, etc.)

It has gone in the past (non tournament time) but i believe this game is a direct result of the tournament.
