Can't believe the 1-2 PLO got going a 3 hours after I left. Ah well, I'll catch it eventually.

hey stan was wondering if you may know why the 3 casinos that were supposed to be building built are so behind and haven't even done nothing yet, I know the economy is bad but you'd they would still start building.

Revel just can't get the financing to finish. All they are doing right now is protecting what is already built by putting the outer surface around the first tower. I do not expect any other casino to be built in Atlantic City any time soon. The surrounding markets are taking off and taking a lot of revenue away from Atlantic City. Revel will restart and finish their casino. When is anybody’s guess. Let's say that you were the bank and you were reading the Monthly revenue reports coming out of Atlantic City, would you give someone 1/2 billion dollars or more right now?

True about the monthly revenue. It sucks to I think that the pa casino's really hurt atlantic city..

If they could show me that they would make a billion dollars with the place I would lend a half billion. That is the problem, they can't convince the bankers, however, they should be able to convince some private investors...

The guys playing were doing a decent job recruiting, asking anyone that walked by that showed interest if they wanted to play. Had I not been drinking all night, I would have short stacked it, probably

I sweated it for a few hands and it moved at a decent clip. Of course I didn't see anything big.

PLO games can be funny like that - nothing happens and then all of a sudden there's $2000 in the middle preflop.

Look at what happened to the bond holders at the other casino.

Anyone let me know the usual stacks in the 1-2 PLO game that has played/seen it run? I'll be at the B all day/night on Sunday and want to know what kind of stack would be needed if it gets running.

The NJ casinos need to push harder to challenge the anti-sports betting law that exempts NV, DE and a couple of other states.

http://blog.nj.com/njv_raymond_lesni...ot_in_new.html

Legalized sports betting in AC would be huge both in terms of direct revenue and indirectly by bringing people to AC for big events like March Madness and the Super Bowl. I guarantee a lot of people would be more likely to go to AC if they could also throw down a couple of legal bets on a football game while they're there.

maybe play slots/table games try and get comped?
played at the borgata twice now. both times i stayed at Harrah's, played for a bit there, then moved on to the borgata. funny thing is, even spending minimum time at Harrahs and already get dicscount and comp midweek offers all the time. i have friends who have stayed and played at the borg for ages and never gotten anything but a sandwich for free!

played at the borgata twice now. Maybe that's the problem. I do not know the comping policies of the Harrah's properties. If you are getting these offers, by all means use them. We comp rooms, a lot of rooms, but I guess we are a little more selective to who gets them than other places.

Anyone on 2 plus 2 can always contack me by private msg and I will contact you back. You never know till you ask!

to be fair the borgata is notoriously stingy/"selective" with its comps. this has been alluded to in the thread before. i was just making the point that i have stayed at harrah's twice and i get better and more frequent offers than friends who have stayed and played at the borgata tons of times.

note: i do not wish to offend. that is not my intention. i understand that the borgata may be more "selective" with its comps than other casinos. just pointing out that if you are looking for a cheap or comped room in AC there are other options for the average player.

sorry for the constant editing, too. english is not my first language, as i am sure you can tell!
