Even though this thread is made up of poker players, and several of them have posted that they don't agree and none have posted that they agree?

Even if the CCC allowed it, casual players would definitely be opposed to a dollar coming out of each pot for a tournament they won't be able to play in. It would drive those players to the other casinos where they have a chance at a BBJ.

I agree. As a player, I don't want to put money into a tournament that I won't be able to play in. Or might not want to play in, since I'm mostly a cash game player.

Freerolls are just that - money put up by the casino. Not paid for by the players.

SO let me get this straight.... Stan (who is awesome) can still promote his room by letting us know what games are running (AS HE SHOULD) but the showboat dealers are banned.

Seems like a double standard... I have lots of thoughts on this idea... but for now let me say this to the people who run this site.

Don't forget how far we've come as poker lovers/players. A warning would have been nice... I beleive borgata advertises on this site (i might be wrong). But once again in the whole scheme of things POKER is being promoted. I've played at the boat enuff to realize when there are 5 tables going at 7 PM i don't think the dealers make any bit of difference in promoting the room and UNDERSTAND this the only reason i found this site waqs because of a SHOWBOAT dealer... that means increased hits and more $ in YOUR pocket two plus two . You should thank the dealers you banned. And if you looked at this with intelligence from outside the box you'd understand the same. This is what happens when you fall in love with yourself.

The runners of this site should be ashamed of themselves for the egotistical post made ripping dealers who are too young to know better. I have enjoyed the threads and made posts that are few and far between.

SO what i've learned is that we have more ego maniacal people who think they know it all.

In the long run you have to enjoy booms while they last... they will not go on forever

Not to get into an argument about who can do what. But i believe the situation that i am in is simple.

1. I am a manager at the Borgata that has approval from the casino management and 2 plus 2 to give replys to asked questions and comments.

2. For now on, I will only give a live game report when asked. and I will only answer questions or comments.

3. I can not start a thread about Borgata.

4. I can not promote Borgata unless once again someone asks a question or makes a comment that I can respond to.

5.The Showboat dealers should be able to do the same if they follow all of the rules above.

tmac&cheese,

Stan and TAB had permission from 2+2 to post here well before it became an issue.

Guess that means that someone will simply have to request a live game report every day or two.

Live game report?

Every hour on the hour please. Like the Weather Channel.

I also recommend just setting up a video stream on the Borgata website of the board. I can click on the link and it will take me to the pretty blue screen of what games/limits are running and how long the wait lists are.

I need to make it my life's mission to get this 5/10 LHE going on the weekends. I'm tired of getting there and then it never goes, forcing me to play 3/6. (10/20 is a little over my head money wise).

Is the column for 5/10 holdem even on the board? I admit to not remembering. I know I'd put my name down if there was a list of interest. It wasn't there Friday nite though.

I'm surprised no room has ever done this -- which makes me wonder if it's permissible, though I can't see why it wouldn't be.

The closest I've seen to this is the cctv feed at the Wynn. You can see what games are running while brushing your teeth.

Why is it that I can never connect to the poker room WiFi anymore? Did it get shut down? I used to get good reception in the past and there seems to be WiFi in other parts of the Borgata...

I got reception in the cafeteria downstairs on Saturday. I assumed the source was the poker room, but maybe not.

I have to turn wi-fi off on my phone off because it drains the battery constantly trying to connect, very annoying. It would be oooo-soooo nice if they put an AP in the poker room.

This would also be a great labor savor. Even better if you could lock up a seat without having to callin. Some mornings I just want to take a sledgehammer to the high-limit podium phone because it doesn't stop ringing with all the people calling to see if "such and such" limit is running. Then they lock up a seat in a 5 handed game, call back an hour later and relock the seat, rince repeat a couple times until they show up 2 days later. (I wish I was exaggerating)

there was a list of interest for 5/10LHE on Fri. nite but the game never got off the ground (atleast when i was there)...problem is people put their name on the list and 2 hours later when the get enough players and call the list everyone is already playing in another game or left the room.. I know a few weeks back the got a 6/12 game going on a Sunday afternoon.

I don't really get this one. Wouldn't dealers still have to count the bet to know how much the caller needs to put in? Unless your strategy is to just have the dealer match stacks... in which case I hate the idea.

This is the same pattern that repeats itself over and over. They get a list going but once it gets filled everyone is already playing another game. That's why 5/10 limit never gets off the ground.

I know a number of Borgata staff read this thread, so here is a suggestion: When you're trying to get at 5/10 game off the ground, check in with some of the 3/6 tables. Ask players if anyone would like to join the new game and I bet you'd find some takers. Also, don't just call the list of names, make the game open seating as well.

I'm planning on transitioning my play from Taj to Borg. Can't just stop the Taj cold though...I have to burn through all my earned comps there, plus they are good with sending me offers. But I'm hoping the Borg can show me enough love where ultimately, I can just play at the Borg all the time.

Stan! I hope you're enjoying your vacation!

Since the 4/8 never goes anymore sigh sigh. I have been attempting the 10/20 two way which usually drops the stud which of course defeats the purpose of a 2 way and blows the execuse that the 10/20 kills the hose game (okay I will try to stop whinning after this final comment - I dont think I need to say that it is annoying that there are no multi-type games at levels I can afford). On the times I did get to play the 2 way and it is a kill pot - the dealers switch so game switch - the kill is gone away. The players said that they voted and that you do not play the kill until it is dead it just goes away in the 10/20 game and does not pick up when omaha h/l kicks back in.

So in summary.....

1. lets try to bring the 4/8 hose game back to life
2. since when does the borgata cater to loud mouths at 10/20 2way who get to determine the rules and not the floor - is this just something that happened while Stan was away or did i have bad experiences the past 2 weeks?
3. why cant we have both games the 4/8 hose and 10/20 2way

Live table report, please?

Also, FYI there were 450 in yesterday's satellite for the $500k guaranteed. Most of the losers jumped on the cash tables, making Sunday afternoon awesome action; almost as good as Saturday night. This coming weekend should be sick, sick, sick!

My first time playing a live cash game this past weekend and I'll have to say it was a good experience at the Borgata. The staff was friendly and professional(except for one dealer). I would recommend playing there.

Some sort of scuffle broke out at a table by the bathroom Saturday night. I didn't see what happened. But it looked like the security staff did a good job of cooling things off.
