And they're talking with him about that on the poker room floor? He's gonna end up getting banned either way but I don't think they can legally make him delete content from his phone.

It reminds me of this youtuber, LC Preditor Catcher, who has a youtube channel similar to the old show "how to catch a preditor". He's caught someone in the Wind Creek casino a few months ago while I was there and the child predator got banned from the casino for life when he came back to play poker after fleeing the night before.

Then, about a week ago, he caught a guy in the Borgata trying to lure a 15 year old kid to his hotel room for sex but this time he's the one who the Borgata banned!! (for "filming" in the casino) and they let the predator go.

Ace poker is his name I think. Not one of the more popular guys but he’s from jersey. I don’t think any casino in jersey allows poker vlogging

Anyone still getting comped rooms? Have had Mon-Sun comped for the past 8 years up until this March. Now these rates are absurdly high, even for weekdays

We hadn't been since prior to the pandemic -- paid the $84 your June 16th indicates a few hours ago -- we played a little poker at MGM properties last year in Vegas, but otherwise no reason my rates should be the same as yours unless they're terrible for everybody.

You need to include your recent casino/poker play, in order to judge anything.

I’m sure you probably play lots of slot machines or something like that to warrant the comps you’re getting. Not just poker.

Was down there and here are my comments, primarily on poker and food. The poker room has much less going on than 10 years ago, mainly due to competing poker rooms in Philadephia, Baltimore, and Washington. Also, the decline in high stakes games generally and the management and management / ownership changes.

The talk at the tables was that mid and high stakes games have been hurt because they no longer offer comped rooms. The regular 80/160 mixed game has not been running the last 2 week, maybe for that reason.

They still seem to have a variety of games on weekend, but often only 1/2NL, 2/5NL and 3/6 limit in off times. Parx generally has more going on.

They seem to have a good schedule of daily tournaments at $150-500 buyins.

The buffet has really gone to hell. Maybe it is the new management, or maybe earlier. It used to be really good. Had breakfast there and everything was cold or stale.

The noodle bar was supposed to be good, but seemed awful. Angelines Italian restaurant was excellent, very home cooked, chef prepared. The American Grill, where Wolfgang Puck's used to be was also good. However, both of those are a little pricey.

Stick to the Soups at the Noodle Bar IMO.

Wow, a reply with Asian food in the username. Those big bowls of soup may be OK. The Thai iced tea and mango drink were both canned. The spring rolls and similar appetizers were not very good. At the poker table, they talked about how good the chicken pad thai was, but it was the worst pad thai I had had. Of course, the owner and cook were probably not Thai.

I'm almost backwards from your review (foodwise), 2blocker. The buffet is far from "gone to hell". Some items are much better than others, but overall, it is good. Especially if you have a gold+ card. And especially compared to what other AC casinos offer in buffets. The breakfast still has a great omelet bar and crispy bacon.

The noodle bar is my go to for a relatively fast meal while playing. Best dish imo is the beef chow fun. They have raised prices a lot recently, to the point of nuts.

I think Angelines is just ok Italian for a crazy price. I absolutely suggest Il Mulino at Hard Rock, or Angelo's Fairmount Tavern near the end of the AC expressway for much better food at a much better price.

Haven't tried American Grill yet. But not surprised it's expensive.

The best place to go is the downstairs buffet if you have the card.

Rally sad to hear what’s become of this place. Such great memories over the years.

First time ever playing in a casino poker room was in the basement room, got stacked when my KK made a set on the turn after it checked around on an A high flop. Welcome to the show, kid. This was maybe 2003?

pad thai is very hit and miss, I guess it depends on who's working the kitchen that day. I had some that ranged from great to instantly send it back

Chef Vola and Cafe 2825 are the absolute best, if you can mange reservations well in advance. Or try early for bar seating. Haven't been in a long time. Need to get back soon

I was eating relatively cheaply and healthy at Angelines and did not try the entrees. The eggplant caponata and chopped salad were amazing. There may be better Italian restaurants at lower prices in AC, but I would still highly recommend Angelines.

The other thing I noticed was I didn't have a card and they no longer take care of that in the poker room. Had to go to card holder service. Also, now buy chips at the table and have to cash them out at the main cage. Apparently, they have a staffing shortage and hard to hire at $12/hour. Presumably the dealers make significantly more with tips. Place is sort of going downhill for more reasons than competition in cities and suburbs.

Haven't been to the noodle bar lately but agree with most of this (I think Angelines sucks I don't care if they have good salad) The buffet is ok I guess but has gone way down hill (happened right when mgm bought them.) Hard rock's buffet is way better.

There is way more competition than 10 years ago, the room is horribly run (while Parx is extremely well run) and got even worse with the mgm full takeover post covid.

No poker cage after like 10pm is a total disgrace. No call ins at this point is mind boggling, utterly incompetent floor, way too many terrible lazy dealers. Even when they first reopened and could only have 30 tables they rehired their terrible part timers first to save on health insurance while their older full timers who are actually good at dealing (and there aren't many) had to wait. The liquor in the poker room used to be at least decent name stuff from the bottle now it's bottom shelf swill out of a gun. The switch from comps automatically on the card to having to have them loaded on the card is obviously another moronic terrible change.

I'd be surprised if eventually the room isn't cut down in size by about half. It was built during the boom and would never have 85 tables if it was built today especially when it's run so incompetently.

It's really a shame how much the room has fallen as the Borgata is a super nice casino and the poker room used to be amazing.

Yeah, the selling point of Borgata, its poker room, buffet, etc. was quality. Now they are making a mess of everything to save a few dollars. Like can't hire the staff because won't pay the prevailing wages, etc.

I haven't been to Wynn, Bellagio, and Venetian for a while, but I assume they aren't using cheap liquor etc. to save money.

Hey has anybody cashed PPNJ money out live at the Borgata? What's the process, do I need to have the app on my phone and make the withdrawal while I'm standing there or can I do it at home and drive down and receive my cash on that end? Do I need my passport/ss card/blood sample?

They don't have an official rep in the thread.

I'd guess no on tournament but.. that's conjecture. They have run the daily stuff, but it's definitely not remotely same.
