i am now a red card member. i played this weekend
4/3/15 @ $1/$2 from 2:30pm to 2:10am; 11 hours, 40 minutes
4/4/15 @ $1/$2 from 12:50pm to 2:10 am; 13 hours, 20 minutes

another update. i was getting Sunday-Friday comped. this past weekend i checked in Friday (comped) (5/22), paid a discount rate Saturday, checked out Sunday (5/24). i did not swipe my card for parking Sunday

5/22/15 @ $2/$5 from 3pm to 6pm; 3 hours
5/22/15 @ $2/$5 from 7pm to 12am; 5 hours
5/23/15 @ $1/$2 from 1:50 pm to 4:20 pm; 2.5 hours
5/23/15 @ $1/$2 from 9:25 pm to 5:35 am; 8 hours

so based on these 4 days i played, my comp $/day average is $17.3

I now have every day available for comped at Borg with the exception of Saturday July 4th. WC is same except for Friday July 3rd and the 4th.

so 4 solid days of playing was all it took for me to get Saturdays comped.

hope this info helps everyone trying to get Saturdays.

The offers update on Tuesdays, so you might see an improvement by now or later today. If not, probably after another visit.

I don't know if you were running epically well or biblically bad, but either way that's pretty crazy. Do you usually play into the wee hours like that?

It's not uncommon...I always do, and I'm far from the only one. There are always a few 1/2 tables (and players) that make it through the night to greet the day shift. I've knocked off around dawn, slept a few hours and come back to the same people I played with all night.

Ha yeah, I know, been playing live poker for over ten years, and have played 'til dawn back in the day. But it was usually limit games with near constant action, rather than NLH, in which I'd be folding too many hands.

Actually neither really. I had a room and I want to keep my average up so I kept playing

I have checked in as early as 7am. Don't let them give you the "no rooms" excuse unless it's a legit holiday , palm pressing doesn't hurt.

i've checked in around 10 or 11am a few times with no issue. the only times i've ever had to wait was summer weekends (even then they were very accommodating with bag checks, pool passes if we wanted, etc)

I've just stored my bags at the storage service numerous times without issues. Even if a room isn't ready, I don't think he'll find any issue with just storing his bag while he waits for a room rather than try to insist on getting a room.

The storage service is called Bell Services. I always arrive around 1:30 pm, and my bags always get taken from my car to Bell Services.

I make an effort to check in. But, if the room is not yet ready, the front desk rep has asked if I would like a text message when the room is ready. They also can have the room key waiting for you at Bell Services so that you do not need to wait in line when the room is ready later.

on the website it says that debit cards will not be accepted for the hotel security deposit, however after reading some of the replies in this thread it seems people have used their debit cards without a problem. can anyone confirm this?

Yes, they will accept it as long as it has a VISA or MC logo on it, you will be charged 150 per night for a comped room. But you get that back usually the next day, I have heard people say as long as 5 business days.

Yes 100% right. Earlier in the thread i posted that if you pay the $5 fee on your debit card as well as the $150 hold it seems to speed the process up as opposed to using comps for the $5 when using a debit card. I have done it twice since and gotten my $ back 2 days and 3 days after check out on my debit card.

The $5 room fee? They can take that off your comps, you can even change that on your profile.

I don't think the $5 fee has anything to do with it. it's just different from bank to bank with the debit cards

they have it at some $10 tables. at the house stands on soft 17 tables you can't do the in between bet though...it's all lucky ladies

Apologies in advance, as I'm sure this has been answered already. I've done a little looking and haven't found anything, however.

So I just recently played 3 days in borgata at 1/2 after an almost 2 year long hiatus from the place. (I played 5:40hr, 6:36hr, and 10hr sessions- for anyone interested). I now have all weekdays through July comped. I was thinking of scheduling a trip, but when I select more than two days, I get charged for the third (and fourth, and fifth) days.

Is the way around this as simple as booking the consecutive days as separate "trips"? So if I wanted to stay Sun-Thur, I'd need to book Sun/Mon, then Tue/Wed, then Thur?

If not, what would be the best way to accomplish this?

I've also seen you need to put down a large deposit on comped rooms that's refunded after a few days. Are there any more quirks a first timer should know? I'd love to hear them.

Thanks!
