Train is not an option, both NJ Transit and GH are busses.

To take the train to AC, you'd need to take the train to Philly, and transfer to a train going to AC separately. I've done it before without planning, so the trains didn't line up well, and I had to wait an hour or two in Philly for the train to AC. In total, that trip took about 7hrs

Bus is much quicker but schedule is not to be trusted. When going home look where the bus pick up first so you don't have to wait at the bus station(not super nice if it is late at night)

Greyhound is wildly unreliable. NJT Busses are incredibly consistent and on time almost every single time, if not a minute or two late

Nah bro..from Trenton take the River Line to Pennsauken and then transfer to AC train which comes from Philly (that’s out of the way, takes way longer and is more expensive)

And assuming you catch everything on time this would be faster then the bus?

Good to know, but I definitely won't ever try to do either again!

Gonna drive to AC from Ohio next month. Plan to play at Borgata and stay at a cheap motel somewhere. Is there parking at Borgata? If so, how much is it and does it ever get full?
Any suggestions for a first timer in AC? I've only ever played in Vegas and within driving distances of here.

I think it's 10 bucks, there's both a parking garage and an outdoor lot ("surface parking"). The outdoor lot is right in front of the poker room entrance (see above posts for directions to the surface lot). You have to pay for both upon exiting, and they rarely get full.

There are a lot of hotels/motels along route 30 in Absecon, all are more expensive on the weekends. Once you're at the Borgata, there's really no where else to walk to unless you drive to another hotel. The Borgata is on the Bay side of the city opposite the boardwalk.

Thank you very much. That's very helpful. I saw a post above about Dock's. I'll definitely hit that for a meal. What else is cool to do in AC? Whores? Magicians?

Haha, there are definitely your share of whores, based on all the young hot women I see with old AF gross old white dudes.

I'd suggest hitting up the beach, it's really underrated. Get an Italian from White House and pull up with a 6 pack and enjoy yourself for the day

We need a NYC > AC ferry. Seastreak already goes from Wall St to Sandy Hook, just need an incentive to go farther

Nah that would take about 6 hours and the return trip would be "weather permitting"

I'm not seriously advocating for it, I know it's a literal pipedream/longshot, but I would imagine it would only be about 3.5-4hrs

The drive, or the bus trip? The latter is generally scheduled for 2.5 hours.

The drive depends on traffic conditions and start location. And leadfootedness. From central Brooklyn (~125 miles) with no traffic and not speeding excessively, it's two hours door to door. With summer traffic, maybe closer to three; with just normal daytime traffic often about 2.5. A friend of mine once did it in 90 minutes...I wasn't paying attention to how (though of course I can guess...he's a noted leadfoot).

Getting across/out of/into the city is a big variable. Between my house and the Outerbridge can be half an hour. Or it can be an hour. And then the hundred miles of Parkway has its own variables.

I was thinking of driving to Brighton Beach one day. Maybe other parts of Brooklyn. Maybe some mob hangouts, LOL. Need some authentic NY pizza.

It's like 3 hours n idk $25-30? Tolls. Driving around NYC is very annoying.

You might have a slightly discounted rate at a Caesars, ballys or borgata by accident. The hotels on route 30 aren't super nice. I'd definitely recommend the national chains, but would pay x2 to stay in casino for convenience and safety.

For a.c.

Docks happy hour (@4pm not @410 it will be full.)

White house for subs.

Isakaya in borgata for sushi

I guess Tony's Baltimore grille, I don't like it but some do. Irish pub in similar old school a.c. feel..

So I was at Borgata 2 weekends ago and after my session, I had went to the back of the room to get the floorman to add my earned comped dollars to my card. After a few minutes, he handed me my card back with a yellow Post it note indicating I have $22 in my account. I then went down to the food court downstairs to grab a quick bite but I was told by the cashier that I had only $11 and change in my account (which was there from my last trip there). I figured that maybe the system wasn’t updated quick enough as I went to the food court immediately after seeing the floor. I also had to leave the casino after eating so I never went back to the floor to ask about my transferred comps. However, I checked on my MGM/Borgata online account today and it still shows that the comp dollars didn’t get transferred through. I plan on going this coming weekend to play there and to ask the floor about what happened to my transferred comps from last time. Has anyone ever experienced this before? I now wonder if the floor guy really did transfer my comps to my card and if he didn’t do it correctly, I am wondering if I still have it in my comped bank balance.

I don't remember, but is it 2 to 1 at the food court or 1 to 1?

It used to be 2:1 but changed to 1:1 last December 1, according to posts above.

doesn’t it take a month for the credits to show up?

No comp dollars are instantaneous. Not sure about Tier points, these are two different types of credits.
