Tier credits can take a month, I think my longest was like 3 weeks so I can imagine it going longer.

The food court is supposed to be 1:1 but it's possible they're still charging 2:1, I know a few months back when I asked about earning tier credits for shopping at BnB and the little convenience store, the employees said they heard the same but didn't know how to do it/hadn't been given the machine yet.

As bad as the Greyhound can be, time wise it's usually gonna beat every other route from NYC, including Brooklyn, depending on your departure time. Mon-Fri 2PM-7Pm you're not getting through SI in under 45 minutes, the bus gets a special entrance to the Lincoln, I've had pretty good luck getting there via Greyhound in 2 hours whereas driving is always closer to 3

Correct. I assumed comp dollars should be instantaneous assuming that the floor guy transferred them for me correctly. I guess I’ll find out if it’s still there on my next visit. Tier credits can take some time but I got them from my last session played there.

The food court is 1:1. I went to get a burrito bowl from the Casa Taco express the last time. Worst decision ever. The food was not edible at all. I would probably stick to the Philly cheese steak place next time.

I would bet money it's still on your card and the system in the food court wasn't set with the right parameters for 1:1.

The burgers aren't bad, or the wraps and sandwhiches in the front. We shouldn't go there expecting to have a thanksgiving style feast while taking a break from poker anyway, you can go to Old Homestead for that or even down stairs if you have a card. The chinese and mexican spots are horrible I don't even know how they can get away with serving such flavoreless, watery, bland tasting food. It's like they really don't care whatsoever.

there's a lot of room between good burger and a thanskgiving feast. the burgers downstairs are not good but at least they're edible inlike the chinese and mexican places.

Pizza is the way to go downstairs. Pick up an overpriced salad or sandwich for a quick bite if pizza place is closed.

Vegas has a lot more competition. There is really no comparison.

Only your earned comp dollars aka “MGM Rewards” points get manually added by the floor. Not to be confused with Tier Credits which is normally automatically added to your card (could be delayed sometimes) which is used to determine your tier card level(Sapphire , Pearl, Gold, etc) based on the type of action you give the casino.

Planning to be there Thursday and Friday this week…does anyone know the chance that there will be a 2-2 PLO running? What about 5-5, does that game go with any frequency?

Maybe a 50/50 chance for 2/2. 5/5 really only runs on the weekends

Thanks for the assessment, even if it’s not what I want to hear. Crazy to me that they can’t get one table of PLO every day, given Borgata is the biggest room in AC…but I digress.

National Sports Collectors Convention is in AC Wednesday to Sunday, I wonder if that will make for more tables/higher stakes. Not sure how much overlap there is between sports collectors and poker players.

Could definitely help, and I'd guess there is some decent overlap there

A lot of players including myself were spoiled for a long time by getting comps on weekends for months or years in a row, then after it was sold they eventually dried up. No other property that I know of, especially in the North East, fully comps poker players on weekend nights who don't play any of the floor games so yes we were spoiled in that respect, but the comp card issue of bringing your card to a supervisor, waiting for him to get off the phone and asking him verbally to please transferred our comps out of bravo and onto our card so we can use them is a joke in this day and age.

Can someone please explain this. I thought they just swipe your MLife card at the table and comps are automatic.

You still swipe in at the table, it's just not as automatic as it used to be. The points formerly known as comp dollars aren't in your account and available on your card until you've gone to the back podium and asked for a transfer.

Tier credits are still automatic.

This is stupid, but actually worse for casual players than regs. Like, if you go to the Borgata every weekend, you're racking up a decent amount of comps. Go a few weeks without them, then get them all at once - now you've got a few weeks worth, keep moving them over once every 3-4 weeks and it's not too big of a deal. Go late at night and it should take less than 60 seconds.

On the other hand if you're not a reg, you don't necessarily know what you're supposed to do or how to get them, you may only go down there a few times a year, and you want to use your comps the same trip.

It's in the best interest of both the Borgata and the regs that the non-regs get taken care of and have a good time, so this is hurting everyone.

I was always moving them over on the last day of my trips, because I used them to pay for the resort fees. So I still hadda wait on line to cash out my chips, then walk all the way back in the corner to move them over. I've also sat with a players in another casino who mentioned they never got any comps at the borgata and didn't know about moving them over, so I'm sure a lot of people still don't even know about it.
