Just a heads up, they're currently not seating any new players because they need games to break to relieve dealers who have been in ~15-16 hours. I'm told they should begin seating new players again around 9 or 9:30 am, but that's just a guess.

Most Casino employees
Should be back on the job,
I'm surprised they don't
Call in more dealers

Was down there all weekend, I thought the dealers and floor did an admirable job in difficult circumstances although that didn't stop the players from bitching and complaining about every little thing/mistake as per usual.

Definitely saw way more dealer errors/ floor confusion/problems handling the list than ever before at Borgata, but that was to be expected with many of them being at the tail end of long shifts.

Word from some of the dealers was that 100+ dealers had called out because they couldn't get to the casino, which caused them to stop seating for awhile etc.

I fired 4 bullets in the 2 milly. All 3 days. The wi-fi seemed to work pretty optimally, and I'm pretty sure the tourney tables do NOT have the USB ports. Only tables I saw the ports on were when I was playing 20/40he in the high limit cash room.

I checked the WiFi speed in the Event Center yesterday - 60 megabits per second down, 80 megabits per second up, which is outstanding.

No, the tournament tables do not have USB ports for charging. Everyone should take ownership of their own needs and buy a battery pack for $10 to $20 that would fully recharge a smart phone four or five times, like this one:

Can someone explain to me what the whole commotion was at 2/5nl last night around 2am. Involved every floor person and took like an hour to work out apparently.

Where are the best places to park at borgata for poker room (if it even matters)? Everything is safe/don't need to be worried about getting robbed in parking lot/garage at 3-5am?

Surface lot is closest to the poker room. I use garage in bad weather. All are safe and have never felt uncomfortable. Like anywhere else always be aware of your surroundings and you should be fine.

commentary on selected policies:

#1, #2: excellent

# 3: pay attention: with so many Borgata Babes and large screen TVs?

#4: provided players are not hiding cards from other players behind chips or under their large hands, why not?

# 5: a missing sentence: "Dealers should be required to count stacks before pulling all bets into pot."

#7 amended sentence: "...poker supervisor required to verify player was playing and not just flirting with the poker dealers...playing one round every 90 minutes should not count as playing"

# 11: Just when you think there is no justice in the world. I knew the entry of Taj stud players would quickly modify this rule. "...On Stud games players placed in lobby as soon as they leave the game..." One afternoon I walked into the Taj poker room and sure enough, 8 stacks of chips at eight seats, a dealer seated, and no players seen for hours. When the players came back, I asked where they had been. To the Golden Nugget for lunch of course. But they were still on the clock at the Taj. 50 hours a month made them eligible for a raffle of the bad beat funds they made no contribution to! The misbehaving of the octogenarians in the stud games will lead to increased supervision, more attention paid to who is in the lobby, and when chips are picked up. The long honeymoon of free comps at Borgata is coming to an end. Anyone care to write an obituary?

All of the marina casinos are very safe,
You just don't want to think you are
Lucky and make the mistake of walking
South on Brigantine Blvd.
Most of the trouble can't afford
The jitney fare to the marina casinos
And the Borgata security is
Excellent when it comes to
Physical safety issues,
Pacific Avenue is the war zone...
There is a reason they spent
Millions of dollars on a tunnel
(AC-Brigantine Connector)
So rich people would not be
Offended by the sight of poor people,
You have no worries...

I'm an out of towner learning this the hard way. Just stayed on Pacific Ave and witness hookers, drug dealers and boarded up neighborhoods.

Which areas are not as bad when staying at hotels outside of the casinos? Thanks

Drive west on Rte 30 or Rte 40
For 10 minutes and you can find
$50 a night hotels
That are satisfactory
Sunday to Thursday.
Check trivago,
Read the customer reviews...
With minimal or maybe even no
Play you can book a room
At Borgata any Sunday to
Thursday in March for $59.
If you are in the tournament
There are special room rates
Starting at $89...

I've stayed at the Comfort Inn on rt 30 a number of times. Has always been fine. Not the Ritz but never had any issues there.

Players will be placed in the Lobby in the following manner
And players will be removed from the Lobby in what manner? Is it when you sit back down, or when you're free of Absent buttons? (The former is what makes sense, the latter is what they were saying on 1/1.)

On 10-20 Hold'Em and 20-40 Hold'Em, players will be lobbied
So these are the only time games that use the Lobby?
