I usually drive in, play, stay overnight, and use my free parking the next morning. I never had a problem getting free rooms doing this until they switched the system over from mailed voucher that you'd tear off and hand to the attendant over to the card swipe system. If someone from the borgata is reading this, and this is indeed the case, its completely asinine. I can stay there for two days/nights, gamble all day each day, but get dinged for using my free parking when I leave on day 3? Not cool.

Like I said, it seems they do in regards to the poker-parking but I'd love to hear anything official.
came here because i was trying to figure out the parking offer i found in my online account (have not been to borgata in over a year, maybe two?) and found these posts. so to be clear: the parking voucher we used to get in the monthly mailers is now contained in our players card? but using that dings our comps? how (exactly or supposedly)? sorry i feel stupid but i cant totally follow this. the offer as it appears in my account online looks like a link but nothing happens when i click on it (tried 3 different browsers) THANKS

what they are referring to is the average hours played per day. Borg uses a metric of comp dollars per day to give out room comps. if your average is higher, you will start to get Fridays/Saturdays comped also, which as you can guess, they are coveted.

when you use your card for free parking, they will count that as a day of play, so if you didnt play that day, the hours you played is 0, but you have 1 extra day, so your average goes down.

if you dont care about comped rooms, use the card for your 2 free parkings and dont worry about it.

if you do care about comped rooms, don't use the free parking unless you played that day (6am-5:59am)

gotcha, ty! that seems kinda wack since they know the actual hours of play...

so like i said, its been a really long time and i rarely ever got comped rooms to begin with, but roughly where does 6ish hrs/day of 1/2 nl and a 200+35 put you for that?

as far as i know, and someone should correct me if i'm wrong... i dont think they count tourney stuff.

if you averaged 6h/day at 1/2, you would eventually get sunday through thursdays probably. thats what i got when i went there a lot and i was probably between 4-6 h/day. i dont know how many days you would need to play to get that though

Absolutely correct, playing a SNG or tournament counts for nothing, no comp dollars and no free offers (other than a free buffet for every 5 tournaments\)

The new bonus comps per hour say that above 25 hours for month of May, the bonus is only for 2-5 NLH.
In the past it was any game. Just for clarification is it only 2-5, or any limit 2-5 and above?
Thanks.

it's 25 for 2/5 and 50? or whatever it usually is for everything else.

*Only play on $2-$5 NLH will qualify for 25-49 interval

That looks like it means 2-5 players get a bonus after 25 hours, all other games (NL/PLO up to 5/10, limit games up to 20-40) get a bonus after 50 hours.

Does this mean there will be no Summer Open this year? If yes, this is very disappointing...

And, as you can see previous Summer Opens were quite successful despite WSOP: http://www.theborgata.com/casino/pok...-2014/schedule

I was there yesterday (Monday) and yes they had a high hand. I know Wednesday they have 4 of a kind, and not sure if high hand is any other day of the week.

Hi folks,

I am staying Friday & Saturday night fully comped at the B with the wife this weekend. I am planning for a cpl of shorter poker sessions - at the most 5-6 hours per session of either 1/2 or 2/5nl. Last weekend, I clocked in a single 17 hour session at 1/2, and am now seeing most Saturdays for the forseeable future as comped.

Do you guys feel it's best not to clock in for the short sessions this weekend and play as guest? Not sure if this is best, as their software will see I stayed at the hotel but didn't play any games?

6 hour sessions of 2/5 should be enough to clock in. less than that I think it's debatable

Thanks. Will not clocking in at all this weekend hurt my average, since I stayed at the hotel?

Also - is the poker day from 12AM - 11:59PM, or 6:00AM-5:59AM?

it's from 6 to 6. yeah not playing anything while staying in the hotel will hurt you a bit. I think dropping your session average really low will hurt you more though..

I think not clocking in and staying there fully comped will hurt you a great deal. I would clock in and play whatever hours you do so and hope for the best. The more you play - the better - but staying the weekend and not clocking in is not a good thing.

If i'm not mistaken the pit rates you by the hour as well. Would one hour of $25 BJ really be that much of a boost?

fwiw I think playing is better than not playing and using the room.
