Yea, why the hell don't they have a layout of all the tables someplace other than the computer screen...? How the hell are we supposed to know? I am not there that often, and usually for tournaments, yet the floor person always tells me the table number. I guess I stick out and most know me by sight.

Any special Memorial Day weekend tournaments other than the regular schedule?

seriously! this room has been the best run large room on the east coast (maybe beyond) for 10 years mainly because of great training, policies, procedures... but they never figured this out. they have a desk dedicated to putting you on the list... but when you're called: "go see a floor person" (ok... where the hell is a floor person that isn't busy) and then "go to table 32" (ok... where the hell is table 32)

on a related note from this weekend i had this happen

floor over the PA system: "TJS and TK your 2-5 seats are ready. See Karen in the back. Karen keep your hands in the air until these two guys come!"

me: "HAHA!" (way too loud)

everyone around me: (stares at me)

me: "i'm the only one that heard that?"

everyone around me: (keeps staring at me)

*the initials and names are wrong... i have a terrible memory for names

You made me crack up, if that makes you feel better. Yes, getting people to tables is the only issue I have with that room. I like how the waiting couches are half a football field away from the 2-5 podium, and they give you about 10 seconds from calling your name to find some nondescript character hiding amongst the crowd who has to seat you, before they call the next name. I have taken to waving my hands around and yelling my initials out like some weirdo so they don't give away my seat. And they look ALL AROUND THE ROOM for you instead of in the direction of where most people are waiting to be called...

Oh!!! You're that weirdo that keeps yelling out LS! LOL!!!

Again posting up a table charts around the room will really help Tab!!

Hey anyone else miss the Sit and Goes? They were quick and now the only time I see one run is during the opens. I used to play the $100 then take the winnings and either play cash or a tournament. In the end it cost me next to nothing for the day. It was great!

I really never have a problem finding my table, even on Saturday night, I guess I got a good eye for floor people who aren't busy, but like others said stand in front of the front desk or tournament podium and you will never miss your name being called.

I've tried this and it works but it's not comfortable at all and I brush shoulders with too many people. I like to sip my scotch on the couch messing with my phone until I get called. I guess you really can't have it all.

I think the best solution so far has been finding an unused table near 2-5 and sitting there until I'm called. They seem not to mind.

Sitting by the front couch is good too, you can get right up and tell the people on the front podium to lock it up.

My gripe is dealers that seat regs. at tables that are not on the list after your initials are called.

Upon signing up for the waiting list, just tell them to give you a 'lock up'. They'll put a "77" next to your initials, that way, when your seat becomes available, you'll have 10 minutes to take your seat whether you're in the room or not. Nothing sucks more than waiting patiently for your name to be called...they finally call you and you're in the bathroom.

"LS", your $2/5 seat is available, lock it up for LS." If you don't respond to the page, they'll go over to the available table/seat and put a post-it on your spot with your initials on it along with the time in which you were called. If you don't take your seat in that 10 minute time, you forfeit the seat and are erased from the list until you tell them to put you back on, which, unfortunately will be at the bottom.

I'm sitting in a bad 1/2 game and a new one opens and the floor tells me I'm not allowed to change into a new game for 15 minutes. My game is full. Anyone ever heard of that before? I've changed into new ones numerous times in the past.

I do the same thing I sit in the 2/5 area waiting as well , and I am shocked we are on day three of aces over eights and not hit , I came so clost to thinking I hit it yesterday , I had 4/5 of hearts . The flop comes 7 spades , 7 hearts ,and 6 hearts . Next card on turn 8 of hearts someone goes all in making me think we got this with 4- 7's or the higher straight flush , but he had none of that and did not even have an ace high flush , hmmmmm

Ha. I've always wondered what the "77" was for. That's good info to know.
I'm also curious... Can you telephone the poker room before heading over (for example, from your room, or from another casino) and ask to be put on the waiting list with a "lock up"? Works the same way?
