Seems like the 2-5 Deep has solid legitimate action , while the normal $500 max 2-5 seems like the variance is so much higher, and It plays more reckless, since people are buying in short. I've seen a lot of stupid moves that make no sense at the $500 max. 2-5 Deep is aggressive but plays a lot more straight forward. Wish it would run more often.
have you tried 5/10?

My guess is that when both games run, the $500 max 2/5 NL is a better game. It sounds like it from your description. It's also very entrenched there so your touristy rec 2/5 player who's been playing there for 5 years just asks for 2/5 NL and never asks about the deeper game.

Land, get on the Septa train by baggage and take it to 30th St Station. Buy a NJTransit ticket to Atlantic City on their "My Tix" smartphone app, get on the train, watch a movie and you'll be there in 75-80 minutes. By far the best way to go and super easy. Probably $5 plus $10.

You'll need to get from the train station to Borg somehow, but that can't be hard. Jitney or cab I guess.

Is the usual Monday 7 pm daily MTT running tonight? If so, would you expect more or less runners than usual in light of the Spring Poker Open starting tomorrow?

All arriving NJ Transit rail passengers have access to complementary shuttles that takes them straight to the casino of their choice, located in front of the AC Convention Center. Borgata's dedicated shuttle bus is located at the end of the line.

Definitely the cheapest, but you may have to wait 1.5-2 hours at 30th st. station to catch the train to AC. It's a beautiful old building with lots of shops and restaurants/cafes however, so not the worst layover in the world.

never played nl w/ him, but played a good amt of 20/40 limit at fw (probably around 20hrs+). good natured guy, very nice, will tell you funny **** and some cool stories if he's winning. if he's losing he's not all that talkative and gets a bit grumpy.

has some hot chick w/ him who sometimes plays at another table. he may be good at nl, but from what i've seen, he's not a good limit player. if he's winning/in a good mood, great person to have at the table.

he seemed to be making good reads and plays when I was sitting with him. he plays a little too tight early in the tourns - I stole a couple pots from him. he told me he doesn't like taking too much risk because ppl tend to donk chips to him throughout the tourney just because of who he is

Yes but dont use comps to pay the $5. Pay with your debit card. You'll get the money back within 3 days or so. If you use comps it could take that $150 per up to 3 weeks to be returned

Has anyone ever done one of the free Black Label slot tournaments before? I got an offer for one, and I'm curious if it's worth showing up. Does anyone know how many people show up for that?

If you're already going to be there, it's worth a shot but I would by no means go with the primary reason being the slot tournament. Don't think I've finished in the top 100 in my lifetime.

I'm assuming there are at least a few thousand people and the actual equity of an entry is like $10 to $20. Sound about right?

I did win $100 in free slot play once, but yes i wouldn't go down there as my primary reason.

That sounds fairly accurate

I see that 5/10 stud is on the Bravo. I assume that the displaced Taj players wound up at the Borgata?

Does this game run on Mondays? I'm going to be in town tomorrow, it'd be fun to pay some affordable stud!

The hold-em high hand promotions that run Mondays and Tuesdays draw players away from the stud game. It runs sometimes, but not consistently.
