Coming down tomorrow morning through Sunday. Looking to play the Wednesday 11AM. Never played a weekly tourney during the day other than when an Open is running. Any idea on runners, and roughly what time it's over. Gotta check in amd we got dinner plans at 6. Thanks in advance.

hey all, i got some anecdotal info for the comp rooms i think might help some people understand it

my previous session was 1/23/14 for 8 hour, 46 minutes at $1/$2. i was a black card member at the time. so i had not played there in over 1 year

i am now a red card member. i played this weekend
4/3/15 @ $1/$2 for 10 hours, 51 minutes
4/4/15 @ $1/$2 for 12 hours, 29 minutes

here is a screen shot of room availability for May, left side taken on Friday, April 3rd, and the right side take today, April 7th. i'm guessing 1 or 2 more sessions like that and i might get Saturdays too, idk, but i'll try to find out and report back.

(sorry about the format being different, left is iphone when i was at the table, right is computer)

Wow...i just checked online was planning on talking to maebell this weekend) and I have comped water club rooms already! And I have all Friday's and Saturdays too all of May and June are 100% comped). That is one awesome reward system. Who needs a black card lol?

Only downside is this fri and sat are not available.

How often do you actually go? When was the last time you were there?

The day runs from 6am to 6am, so keep that in mind. Also, anything you do to swipe your card activates that day... The same goes for rooms. So if you get a room for Friday night and play 8 hours Friday, then check out Saturday and leave, you're averaging 4 hours, not 8.

I'm not sure this is right. There's at least a bit of a grace period before it really considers you to have been there on Saturday. I'm sure checking out isn't enough to do it; I play 10-12 hours Saturday and check out and leave Sunday morning all the time. It'd make more sense for it to be something like gambling activity on your card rather than normal departure activity.

i've heard conflicting things on what constitutes a poker day . some say 6 am starts the day , some say midnight.

either way my last 5 trips i've averaged b/w 8 and 9 hours per day. a few times i knew i was going home at 1 or 2 am so i just had the dealer clock me out a little before midnight to be safe.i also havent used my card for anything on any day i wasn't going to be swiped in playing poker.

The poker day is 6am-5:59am.

The only time midnight comes into it is for day/date-specific promotions: Tuesday ends at 11:59pm, April ends 4/30 at 11:59pm.

i forgot when i was looking at my tracker that i took breaks for dinner that i was still logged into the system, edited numbers in bold with the actual time i was logged into the system.

it could just be that it's summer so you're getting less offers. might have to play a little more or add in some table games if you want to get fri and dat in May and June....

so what are the benefits of the black card? it seems that in 1 weekend i got the main/only real benefit that i wanted (free rooms).

do you get better parking (i use valet since surface lot is fail atm, but maybe i'd park myself so i don't have to wait if there's something i can use it for)? if not, what are the benefits of a black card? free food? club entry or something?

surface lot is fine now. parking is free with a black card, you can also skip lines, get buffets for 10 dollars and also have access to the amphora lounge with has a mini buffet and unlimited booze for 10 comp dollars.

I started to lose my Saturdays at the Waterclub in the summer when I started staying Saturday & Sunday night, but leaving late Sunday night, because it was counting me for Saturday. Sunday & Monday. If you have a room whatever you do, 1 night is 2 days, so people who think they are out smarting the system by not swiping in on their last day are just hurting themselves.

Haven't played since November. Put in some volume this weekend at 5/10 Thurs=Sun and now have Waterclub 7 days a week for the summer (through June anyway, don't think it shows July/August until later).

That is stupid then. Leaving Sunday without playing is common. This average per day BS calculation needs work.

What were you doing before? I find it highly unlikely they count the departure day with otherwise no account activity.

i'd say probably half the time i've had rooms friday and saturday I left saturday night after playing saturday, and half the time i played friday saturday and then sunday before i went home. and some weeks i was also there wed and thurs as well. so even if it counts sundays where i check out but don't play as a day my daily avg really shouldnt come down that much.

i've been playing a lot more plo than 5/10 nl lately so maybe as far as rooms go 5/10 nl gets you a lot more.

Isn't it more likely that the system noticed you reserved and checked into a room you didn't use? Did you drop your keys in the box on your way out? They don't empty the boxes only at check-out time. And I'd guess that Water Club Saturdays in summer are the easiest thing to lose.

When I was there with the first Saturday in March, my Saturdays had stepped down to mostly discounted but not comped; I hadn't been there for all of February. I played 10+ hours Saturday, slept a little, checked out. I played for a few hours Sunday, without clocking in. Didn't use my free parking on the way out (one of the friends who was with me gets twice-a-month parking but not comp rooms). And on Tuesday all my Saturdays were back to comped.

i think i may have figured out what's causing it- and if it's true it's pretty ****ed up.

some weeks i've stayed in my friends room for a couple days, then we link the rooms and he stays in mine.
he usually gets wed and thurs and i get fri and saturday.

sometimes i get there wed, sometimes thurs and sometimes friday morning.

this past week he had wed and thurs,i had friday and sat. he added my name to the room and when i got there we linked the rooms so we wouldn't have to switch rooms.
anyway i didn't get there until thursday april 2nd. however when i log into my borgata account it says "on your last trip from 4/1-4/5".... so maybe it's counting me as being there on 4/1 since he put me down as being in his room? if so i've got a lot of days with 0 hours this way.

This happens at Foxwoods too. What you need to do is on Friday explicitly check out of the wed/Thur room and immediately check into the Fri/sat room, and just request the same room. To be safe, when you're at the desk, before checking out friday you block off the room for your Fri/sat rez.

To be clear, adding your name wasn't the problem, linking your reservations together was.
