Unless imported or brewed in the same place beer can taste incredibly different from one place to another due to the water being used.
Talking about good beers you should categorically exclude the megabreweries that brew at more than one place anyway. Nothing good ever came out of that.

Even though our minimum wage is 57x yours so I guess it compensates we ain't getting **** for 3.99. You'd be lucky to get a single can.

Even VB which is a local beer would be (at a guess I only buy slabs/cases) between $14-$17. We get taxed out the ass on alcohol. As do we many other things they consider luxury items and/or bad for us

Funny part is it costs about the same amount (sometimes less) to buy a fully imported beer from europe than it does to buy a local beer.

Figure that **** out. I live here and I still ****ing can't

So in one post you talk about how high the wages are and then the next post you say you don't know why the local beer costs so much

On a scale of one to ten, how much trouble would you be in if your mom went through your internet history and hard drive? Let's assume she is competent around computers and she's not going to miss anything.

I think she never used a computer, at least not this century. But if she did go through my stuff she'd probably think it's all special effects.

I think I'm a bit past the age where my mother has any real power to affect my life.

I was referencing USA#1 in regards to wages I was under the belief (maybe wrongly so) that many european countries have similar minimum wages to ours. I can understand your point being true for something like imported Corona with the wages being even worse in mexico.

Lets take Holland (heineken) for example according to our friend google their minimum wage is roughly 400 euros a week which converted is close enough to 15AUD an hour. Our minimum wage is oh about 16AUD an hour.

Then it has to be shipped to australia and one would believe taxed similarly to a domestic beer (which being Australian you should know we are taxed out the ass on alcohol).

Nice try but I don't think a $1 an hour saving in labour (not inclusive of shipping) is going to make something cheaper here than something produced locally if the same taxes are applied.

Also imported Corona is the same price (if not more expensive half the time) than imported Heineken so your argument is kinda ******ed

I wouldn't be in any trouble, but she might think slighly less of me, if that's possible.

So, she'd look down on your astrophysics podcasts and the stalking of an average looking television personality?
