what do you do with the end piece on a loaf of bread?

i just throw it out. i used to just repeatedly push it aside but now i don't even bother with it.

That looks like some sort of medieval peasant food. Real bread is a perfect rectangle and comes in a plastic bag.

i move it to get to the non end pieces until i only have the two end piece left. then i begrudgingly make a sandwich with them and wish i would have just thrown them away
