My guess is a lot of the regs (on here and at THR) are in West Palm fighting over tickets into the $550, $1 mill guarantee tourney. See the PBKC WSOP thread in the MTT-c live forum for details.

Update ?

I'm in for work and will stop in

Is action at 2-5? or more at the 1-2 ? - ie mostly regs at 2-5 or does 1-2 play more lively due to mix of regs and visitors

I'm one of the people you described.

Have they raised the minimum buy in at 1/2 PLO from $100 yet?

Not as far as I know...still $100. That's a month dated though.

I've yet to ever play a tournament here. They seem crap. Fair assessment?

Yes, the plo is still a whopping $100 min. And yes, I see some of us out here in West Palm (though I recognize faces and know some names, I'm not sure who all is who on here). And further, one of us who miraculously chipped up from all-in with 6 BBs to a solid 23 BBs in the last half hour of play going into day 2 is going to win the whole thing and rent some Asian whores. But I have no idea who that might be.

Actually no take a look at the structure again. The Wednesday 10k guarantee and the Friday 20k guarantee are definitely in the top 3 tournaments around (only the 207 tuesday at Derby is potentially better due to less rake). SUPER soft fields as well.
The floor rulings have become better and more consistent lately.
The $100 tournaments play out in about 6 hours, and are really soft. So if you are good with short stack play (same structure, smaller starting stacks) you can make good money in them. Rake is kinda bad on them though. 85+15+10 is slightly steep but not awful.

What the heck is going on there today? The traffic to get in just to park is ridiculous. I turned around and left.

Its the last weekend day of the fair, that might have something to do with it.

A couple more weeks and the new garage will be open with extra 1300 spaces, then parking should never be an issue again.

1/2 is 50-100 min max. You are not seeing things. This is their version of 1/1 at the Silks or Derby.

1/3 is 100-300 and 2/5 I believe is 200-600.

No problem Warren.

For all the PLO players, they had a 1/2 plo8 going. That game was ridiculously fun. Anyone up for trying that game we should see if somewhere would host it.

Id love to play that, but 1/2 in plo is probably best suited for my bankroll. The 1/2 game had several 3-500 dollar pots.

Hi,

What games are running on weekdays at seminole hard rock casino? Planning to visit there.

PLO? Or just NLHE? What stakes?

Im going on a vacation to Orlando in a few days and i noticed that bus leaves from orlando to seminole casino 7days a week for just $25, so i think i have to go and see what it has to offer right?

I believe theres no live poker in orlando except some home games.

Anything else i need to know about? Not planning to stay over night, just a little day trip.

For the $25 I think you get some free slot play and a food voucher also.
PLO is rare at Hard Rock and no legal poker in Orlando.

Everyday there is 1/2nl, 1/3nl, 2/5nl and either 5/10nl or 10/20nl.
3/6 omaha h/l limit, 1-5 stud and 2/4 limit HE.

I've always wondered how long those buses stay there before heading back/whether they run multiple trips so you can stay as long as you want, etc.

Played Presidents Day, 2-5 NL - about 4 tables I believe .
Very good room, good mix of regs, rec's, and then some ave joe's who like to gambool.

While my table was good, the next table over was insane - kid betting $100 dark, shipping it regularly, $100 - $500 pre was not uncommon. I understand he ran from a high of $6k down to $2k before he moved to 5-10... and had a following.

Recommended room for 2+2 'er in Tampa area

The promo info for March changed from what I heard a couple weeks ago. There is a tiny chance it could be modified between now and Saturday(cut off) but I doubt it.
$10 in pot to qualify and holdem kickers play if they beat the board or tie(I believe), omaha you have to have pair in hand, and stud no community card can play.
But this is what it will likely be:

There are 3 different time periods for quad hand bonuses:

Low rider: Mondays 2pm to midnight, The way I read it, one of each quad will be awarded only for each game(stud, hold em, omaha) based on the following payout schedule.
4 aces-$100
4 kings-$100
4 queens-$200
4 jacks-$250
4 tens-$250
4 nines-$250
4 eights-$300
4 sevens-$300
4 sixes-$400
4 fives-$400
4 fours-$400
4 threes-$500
4 dueces-$750

2nd is early bird, daily 8am-1pm The 1st 10 people to hit any quads even repeats get paid according to the following schedule(I am assuming that its the 1st 10 in hold em then seperate for stud and omaha but the rules don't clearly state this. Also they don't state if repeats count, this is just a guess) rules are very tiny print so maybe I missed it.

The 1st 4 people to hit get $599 for any quads(I believe), 2nd is $500, 3rd is $400 and
4th thru 10th is $250.

3rd is night owl, nightly midnight-5am.
The 1st seven 4 of a kinds get $250, eighth is $400, ninth is $500 and tenth is $750.
again I am assuming its 10 payouts for each, stud, omaha and hold em.

Without all the details you provided Ron, ante ups advertisement confirms this type of promo.

At some point it would be really nice if one of the Florida Casino's opened up a mid/high limit holdem game. 20/40, 30/60, or 40/80. Is anyone aware of any of the Florida casinos that run one?
