$85 and $125, 10k chips 25 min. blinds= 11.56 patience factor
$212 12k chips 25min. blinds= 12.93 patience factor
$340 20k chips 30min. blinds= 22.55 patience factor ***without the 2 added levels
$340 20k chips 30min. blinds= 28.63 patience factor ***with 150/300/25 and 600/1200/100.

The other bigger ones would be even higher.

comparing late levels like 4 or 5 hours or more in will help also but adjust for different time levels, 20,25,30 etc. in other words after 5 hours of play not including breaks what are the levels going to be in tourney A vs B.
Then 6 or 7 hours in, etc.
First Ron, bravo for this work, but I am curious on the formula and the measurement.... What does it represent.

Second, in a way THR gives you a clear road map... We have these tournaments, this amount of time, this is the structure, it is what it is. Derby plays around a little more. They start at 25 and go up from there, but the have various buyins with various chip stacks to start. So the question is which room give you that comfortable feeling. That would determine my play.

I just played the 207 at Derby (tuesday). It's awful.
Period.
The jump from 1/200 to 2/400/25 is just ridiculous. You lose half your stack to the blinds in one round.

That is ridiculous. I also had to sit at a tournament table for 15 minutes before beign dealt a hand because they refused to balance the tables and made me wait until I had 4 people at the table. FFS its not a ****ing cash game.
The $800 on sunday will likely be my last tournament there.

and I'm debating playing that. god that room is painful

That's from Ron.

It's some garbage high hand (Omaha and stud are separate from hold'em), AND they take it off the board once it hits each day. In Feb the HRH promo (which is their standard month in and month out) is much better if you want guaranteed $ (gift card) for 80, 120, or 160 hours of play. If I could chop costs I'd go to HRH for feb.

Hold on.... I know you're tilting on this now but come on, THR does the same thing. There isn't a 150/300 there either. While ill give you the point on the table, let's not just up and bash on something that only happens in one venue, Silks.

Now iirc someone said the 340 did have the 150/300 so the 800 should too

You get the patience factor # by using the formula to figure out exactly how many hours it would take to blind off if you never played a hand.
You express that like 4.86 hours, etc. you then square it for the patience factor #, so if blind off takes 4.86 hours then PF is 23.62.

Its just a way to compare different tournaments with different blinds, starting stacks and levels and figure which ones are better, assuming the more play you get the better. Some people want shorter tournaments.

The bravo live is a corporate decision, according to William Mason of the Hollywood property. He says they are looking into it, but I wouldn't hold my breathe.

Boxes, I have no idea. Only place in this area that I know has boxes is Silks. Probably don't want the headache or to be bothered with.

I fit the criteria at times as well last week being one of them. I quickly dusted off 3BI's, and then drew a blank when trying to remember the hands. Obv in no condition to even be in that room but **** happens sometimes...I'm sure most of us have been there

Anybody there now? Is it empty due to everyone being at Gaspirilla, or have all the drunken pirates made it over to the poker room?

Thanks.

How is the action for 2/5 there early around 1pm to 6pm during weekdays? I have school 3 days a week and would like to play more than just the weekends.

Did they have a promotion yesterday named "overserved drunk ******* mondays" ? I hadnt been down there to play since they moved the room from the main floor and it seemed like every table had someone that was extremely drunk and a giant ******* to the table/dealer. The worst part was that these drunks werent even dumping their stacks in they were just nitting it up and slowing the game down to MAYBE 10 hands a down.
