Scott, can you tell me what the plan is for when someone who has already won a $5300 ticket through a satellite wins another ticket in the drawing? Kinda sucks that if someone actually earns a ticket by winning a satellite, they're simply not eligible to win anything from this promotion. "Yes, they called my name!!... Oh wait, I just told them I already won one, so I get nothing. That was exciting for a moment." Seems a pretty raw deal, and with all of the satellite tickets floating around out there, it's bound to happen.

Because $575 in quarters is too heavy, mr mover. Don't want any injury liability

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought I saw on the flyer that the Sat sattys also start with just 5k in chips, but have longer level times.

Please go back to promotions where players get a Visa card or something tangible. Promotions for a chance to win a tourney seat, frankly, stink on ice.

If the tournament seats were sellable, this would be an awesome promotion. I would head down to the tournament the week before find someone that's going to fire 2-3 bullets and sell at 4000-4500 and profit!

Begs the question, why aren't seats sellable? I don't see issue with selling seats, tokens, lammers etc... the tournament already got its money. Now, let me either play, or don't. If I have no interest in playing the 10M Gtd then why would I play in the room for those weeks if I can't sell the seat. I don't need to be present to get the ticket, so if I play 15 hours and eligible and I win, I have a $5300 ticket that is going to die.

I'd say reconsider the policy on selling these promo seats, even satellite winners should have the ability to do this. Derby Lane used to have the same, you can't sell policy. Now you can win a 220 seat or other promo seats and sell. Even the freerolls that have a seat to the monthly ending tournaments is usually negotiated down to 3 or 4 on who is going to take it and how much money they are going to sacrifice for it. It's made playing the 220-250's there much more enjoyable (and a little easier on the wallet)

Today I heard the $5300 tickets are transferable, but you must provide the name of the person who's using the ticket. If that's the case (and I don't claim this news to be officially confirmed, it's just what I heard) I'm sure everyone's next question is whether you're required to provide a name when the ticket is actually issued. Since most people who plan to sell them don't have a specific buyer lined up ahead of time, this would be the main issue. I'll ask supervisors tomorrow for more specifics. Meantime, did anyone else hear about this?

You might want to also ask if the same seat ticket can be transferred more than once. They might be looking to prevent players from buying up tickets as they are awarded for the purpose of reselling them later for a profit.

If you win an entry and will be playing then you will sign the ticket right away. If you think you might transfer it to someone else then we will hold your ticket and keep your information on file. When you are ready to transfer, BOTH you and the other person need to see a supervisor in person.

Any transfers need to take place in Tampa before 4pm August 18th. After that, if you go down there with more than one ticket you will not be able to transfer them.

So, I can't sell it to someone unless they can come to the Tampa room?

The table hasn't even been closing. Some same faces, some not.

Yes, it's mandatory $5 on the button. Dealers technically can't enforce it, because it's not actually listed as a 1/2/5 game, but it's understood so the players enforce it ourselves. Lately I've only seen one guy say no, but we gently persuaded him to get that redbird in there every round, so there was no problem after all. Thankfully there are no laws against waterboarding on Indian territory.
