I played ONE, yes ONE session of >10 hours last November. I still have free non-holiday Sun-Thu and discounted Fridays (<100). Still showing into July, thought they would expire at 6 months.

(I haven't been able to go due to work and other commitments, thinking about getting there in July).

And you only should need to play a couple of sessions, like this, in order to start seeing the free room offers. I played a few ten hours sessions over three days and, when I checked the reservation calendar on the following Wednesday (after the offers update on the calendar) I saw that comps were available for me.

I played a few more ten hour sessions, a few weeks later, and, when I checked the reservation calendar on the following Wednesday, I saw that I had some weekend nights either comped or discounted.

During the Summer open, next month, I booked a Thursday & Friday (comped), Saturday ($109), and Sunday & Monday (comped).

This is what you can look forward to, if you put in the time.

No Justin, did you? I felt a little weak in the morning and didn't think I could focus all day in the tourney so I played 2-5 for 10 hours and had a monster session of $9 profit .

No, thinking the summer open... How many played the tournament?

And did you leave out a couple of zeros on that 9?

Can't find this online. Anyone know what the deep stack series numbers have looked like?

How many runners expected for tomorrow and what kind of top prizes?

Once you get rolling you will get 2 free rooms per week and you can book up to 5 weeks at a time once you book 5 in advance you can not book the 6th week until the 1st week is up and so on , also based on your limit and play hours you can sometimes get a third night a week free , for example I played over 100 hours in April of 5/10 no limit and this last week I was comped for Wed and Thursday so I asked the floor guy for Friday as well and he comped it for me , so if you play enough you can each week while there ask fora third night and if the poker room likes your action they will call in a room for you

Finally got to see what all the fuss was about (spent the weekend in AC for the first time) and the Borgata has many things to recommend it.

I've never been in a poker room like this, beautiful, large and a wide range of games to suit anyone's taste.

Played some 2/4 then 3/6 for a while before we went for the buffet. My only complaint is they do a very poor job of explaining to new players how to get seated. So I put my name on the list, and then when I was called, couldn't figure out who I needed to talk to. They roll fast when there are players waiting so time is of the essence. Having the front desk person explain how the process works would have been infinitely helpful.

But once you figure that out (or someone explains it to you), the rest of the experience was marvelous.

Came back from the buffet, signed up to play the 1/2 NL game and was seated. Had the table fish who spoke a variant of French to his female companion sitting on my left. Every time after the hand he would tell her what he had. Since I'm Canadian, I understood enough to know most of the time what he was doing.

Unfortunately I was pretty card dead for the time I was there and didn't get to splash around too much but the table was friendly especially after a big hand where a young guy shoved in a weird spot and a bearded regular picked up a monster pot with a flopped set of 6's.

But that room is one the regulars should be thankful for and enjoy. It is beautiful and well run (from what I saw).

Yeah they move pretty quickly when they call games. You basically just go to the table announced and grab the seat you want. Has not helped that for the past month the sound system has been jacked up off and on

Looking to go down for memorial day weekend (this weekend) to play some 2/5. Most of my poker friends are busy so right now just me. Anyone looking to be down there for the weekend and want to share a room? I will be able to get probably at least one day comped and discounts for the rest I'm hoping. PM me if you're interested and are somewhat known around here.

When you put your name on the list ask were the table is/are and when they call your name go to the table or one of the floor people, put your hand up too, like you're in school. It is annoying at times when the floor person is walking around the room and you can't spot him. I want to put a flashing red light on him and strap it to the top of his head!!! :screwy:

When they call your name, just scream "LOCKITUP!!" at the top of your lungs.

Oh, and welcome to joisey.

Or just stand close to the section of the game you are waiting for, once you hear them call your name sprint to a floor person to point you to the open seat.

Ideal, but you can also grab anybody with a radio. They'll be able to lock the seat and find out where you need to go. (Most helpful for 1/2 or 2/5 where there are a lot of tables throughout the room under the supervision of various floors.)

I always just hang out by one of those podium things spread out around the room where the floor personnel have their computers and once my name is called I just say "That's me." No problem.

Even as a regular I don't know why they tell you what table number to go to. This isn't Parx, there aren't giant table number identifiers above to let you know where you are going.

Agreed , although going there for quite some time I have the layout down pat , although I understand new people would not

On another note heading down tonight and staying until Friday , looking forward to another 3 day week of 2/5
