Does anyone know off-hand if regular Borgata Classic Hotel guests have access to the indoor/outdoor pool at the Waterclub? When I goto the Borgata and ask a front desk next weekend, I will respond with an answer if nobody knows.

Have to wait a few days for accounting to contact me once they check their restocking records and then a few more days for the money to be refunded.

Moral of the story: Don't so much as looks at those fridges the wrong way.
Update: Finally got a call back today. They reversed all of the charges.

If there are any questions, ask the floor or the shift managers, or you may even try sending a PM to the current poker rep. I would say it is business as usual until a new permanent director is appointed.
I don't know his name but I know the guy from the Trop has been at Borgata for a while now and IMO is a very good floor person...not sure how well that might translate to Director.

I'm sure if "Borgata Poker" wants to identify himself he will (or herself/she).

I've played the $1/2 PLO game the last 2 nights and both nights the table has broken due to the same problem.

The PLO $1/2 game would be played with a $5 bring-in for several hours. We would play with an optional $5 straddle for several hours much to the tables delight until eventually a dealer would not allow a $5 straddle but only allow a $4 straddle. The $4 straddle would create confusion and bother the players, then the floor gets involved.

Once the floor comes over they start waving their dicks around. Not only do they support the $4 straddle, but they also disallow the $5 bring-in, and running it twice.

All the problems and game changes would frustrate the players and a couple players would leave (the fish). Then, the nits who are uncomfortable playing 6 handed would leave, and the game would become 3 handed.

The entire situation is ridiculous. The $4 straddle is horrible. It makes the pot size more difficult to calculate and means the dealers have to make change. It slows down the game and makes the pots smaller. Wouldn't a poker room want to support bigger pots and more hands/hr?

The fact that the floor comes in and insists a game must be played at a smaller structure when no one objects to play with a larger structure is horrible. Everyone agrees to $5 bring-in then the floor insists $1/2 blinds with $7 open raise.. unbelievable

We tried to solve the problem by making the game $2/5, but it never seemed to take off. Both nights there was a $100 short-stacker who would not object but just not say anything when the idea was presented.

The fact that the game broke one night due to a easily solvable problem and then broke the very next night due to the same problem is quite sad. I'm not impressed.

I think the game should be played how the players want it to be played. This depends on who's in the game.

The floor should be able to accommodate the players, not destroy the game.

i rather play the 2-5 personally because of timed rake and being able to run it more (plus the comps are more i believe per hour)... however there is virtually no point for the 5 dollar bring in for 1-2... it just makes the game a 2-5plo game that is short stacked, raked every pot, and without being able to run it. makes no sense if you ask me.

Question what do you guys do with all your left over comps? I have a few hundred piling up and do not want to waste them on any 2 for 1 comps. Are there any places u can use 1:1 that are not for food?

If you have a black card, you can use it to eat for 10 comp dollars or 2 people for $20 at the black card lounge or at the buffet. Best deal in town and best value in terms of getting something to eat with your comp dollars.

If you don't have a black card, you can use your comps to eat at 1:1 basically everywhere else except the cafeteria downstairs next to poker room and Gift Shop purchases.

These 1:1 comp places to eat include: Bread n Butter, Noodle Bar, Metropolitan, Bobby Flays, Wolfgang Puck, Old Homestead, Izakaya, Long Bar Roma, BBar drink purchases, Fornelletto's, and Room Service.

Also keep in mind that you can use your comp dollars to pay any room taxes and room charges for 1:1, thus making borgata comp dollars very valuable compared to Taj or Harrah's property comp dollars. Harrah's property charges $13 room tax per night, that cannot be paid for with comp dollars, while Borgata charges $5 a night, and can be covered with your comp dollars.

He would be a good pick, he's very well liked and does a great job as Host. Everyone knows he applied for the position as he was very open about it; I have someone else in mind for the spot but either would be cool.

Stan, as much as I didn't see eye to eye with him in the past regarding some personal stuff?...was a great manager! Seriously devoted in every way. I give him much props.

depends who starts it, whatever the players in the game want to play they can play pretty much. HORSE games, badugi, triple draw, badeucey, razzdacey, etc could all be possible games.
