I was in the game with Phelps on Sunday. It was a private game roped off in a secluded area of the high limit room and you needed to be approved by the floor in order to sit down

Phelps normally plays the 10/25 NL but happened to be taking it easy at 1/2 NL with his girlfriend before he had to catch a flight out of AC to film the Haney Project for the golf channel

The max buy in was $500 and a $5 straddle was encouraged. The standard opening raise from Phelps was anywhere from $40 to $60

The game played pretty big and there was at least $20k on the table by the time it broke at around 1am

I'd like to hear more about this free room thing and I would also love to know who is browsing the boards.

I LOVED borgata under stan, and Vinnie is a nice guy aswell, but some of this bull**** has to stop.

there needs to be someone regularly checking in here and posting, and the grinders who put in long hours or the people who will only come if given that extra day SHOULD be taken care of.

Borgata might have the best staff and venue in AC, but if the good players leave , then the Borgata will just be left with its dick in its hand

Mostly accurate, but it wasn't really roped off. Once us 2 and our friend got it, they locked it up at 9 handed and only allowed 2 other friends/regs to play.

Thought it was amusing that he was complaining about having to get up at 7 in the morning to play golf. Rough life.

Most opens were 20-30, though Mike made it 50 a few hands after he got "sucked out" by vyk when his "3x" lost to AK for 500 ish preflop on 3JTJT. Mike was definitely gambling when people were "villaging" (shipping) pre but was relatively toned down postflop.

I would say there was about 12-13k on the table, mostly in the hands of Mike and a couple of regs who had been there all day with another reg cashing out in the 2-3k range.

Wasn't that huge of a game to be honest. There were a few $2 limped pots too. Was anywhere from 1/2 to 5/10 depending on stack sizes.

I, for one, did not know Stan was giving extra nights for asking. Why SHOULD people who people who know of/post on this site and know to ask be taken care of any more than the average gambler at the Borgata? If you put in long hours and ask for an extra day while you're there that's one thing (they are seeing your play) but why should Borgata just give you an extra because you want it when that is not the policy/what is on the calendar?

Stan was nice enough apparently to give some people some comps on occasion but it sounds like now that they gotten it from him previously they feel entitled to it.

In other news, something needs to be done about the 10/20 Omaha hi/lo game. May be it's happening elsewhere as well but it's the game I play in and since it's a must move, it makes it all the more annoying. There's constantly people working over the system so they continuously get comps without really playing. 2 people get up (making it impossible for a 3rd person to hardly get in a bathroom break) for the max time, sit down after and hour+, sit down for a few hands, repeat.

I also don't get why the game should be a must move and not allow people to sit and whichever table they want but that's neither here nor there.

Anyone else find all room offers eliminated for the entire summer, weekdays included? Kind of shocking ...

All of my room offers during the summer, apart from the ones that I have already booked in advance, have been eliminated as well

My weekend offers have been slashed. I do have some weekday comps, but less of them now.

In other words... the beginning of the end.

Beat them to it. I know who you are talking about and they almost always wait for the new dealer so they can maximize their time away. I get up a few minutes before the new dealer comes in. That ties the walkers down because if they get up together one of them is the third man walking. Sure, it gives me only 30 minutes but that is all I usually need.

Wouldn't this problem still be there even if it were no longer a must move?

I was really combining 2 things into one but at least if it wasn't a must move I could table change if there was another game.

This might be a bit off topic from what is currently being discussed but got a question. With New Jersey allowing internet poker now has anyone heard if the Borgata has any plans to create an online poker software for people to play from home?

Call or go to the MBR desk, maybe there was a glitch when the May offers loaded last week.

I still have Sun-Fri (except July 5) as far as the calendar goes (1st weekend in August). Haven't had any summer Saturdays available comped since it got to the end of June.

Earning real money RB instead of comp dollar RB would be preferable.

Personally go and talk to Vinny or Branch (not sure who she is, Asian lady in the high stakes room is who Vinny told me to ask for if he was not there and if I needed an extra room) and they may hook you up, you just will not get the treatment we did when we could just PM him, now you actually have to ask them.

How many hours do you guys play? At what limits? I think the secret (not so secret) rule was that you need 100 hours a month to get free weekends, I think this even applied to 1/2 players. I still have all my weekend free rooms, but after hearing you guys losing your free rooms I am booked through end of July.
