Yes. I don't know if anyone other that Borg management can tell you to what extent playing for higher stakes affects your room comps, but it does. I think Stan posted something ITT once.

Higher stakes have higher rake

The borgata looks at how much money they spend on you in comps (including rooms) relative to how much you pay in rake and then they look at how many hours your sessions are

You're best off putting in long hours instead of short sessions. After I did a 24hr session in jan I pretty much had everything comped and I was playing 2/5. I just put in a bit of volume the next few weeks and then got two days a week, including sat sun, comped until forever

my apologies if i had the start/end of day (midnight or 6am) confused with when bonuses were calculated vs when average daily play was calculated.

i have personally been lobbyed when playing 1-2 at borgata many times. i make a point of reminding dealers to unlobby me when i return the to the table so i continue to get my hours counted.

More comp talk:

I play 10/20 once a month, probably averaging 8-9 hours a day Friday-Sunday, so about 25 hours a month. I've always had 2 days a week comped, including Saturday. Last month I was there for a bachelor party and played 1 hour of 2/4 with my friends on Friday, and then 30 minutes of 10/20 on Saturday. After that weekend, my Saturday offers for July-August had disappeared.

Last weekend I played 8.5 hours on Friday and 16.5 hours on Saturday. I had the dealer clock me out of the system at 6 AM on Sunday morning because I knew I wouldn't get a lot of hours in for Sunday and it would hurt my daily average. I just checked online and now my Saturdays have returned for the entire summer.

You might be confused about something. When you get up from your seat at Borgata the dealer can put you in the lobby and your light will be blinking. But this is only to track how long you are away from the table in case it becomes necessary to pick you up. For comps purposes you are NOT in the lobby; you are still earning comps and getting credit for time played even though your Bravo light is blinking. This is different from what CET does, where you are not earning anything while you are in the lobby.

I believe this is correct for timed rake games, but not for 1/2.

A sincere question - Why do you believe this to be the case for 1/2nl?

I have been playing a lot of 1-2 and 2-5 at borg lately and I have never seen anyone put in the lobby, ever.

Because when you're away from a 1/2 game you aren't paying rake anymore. When you're away from a 2/5 game you are.

Never ever been put in the lobby at 1/2. Never seen someone put into the lobby either.

In theory this is how it should be. But in practice Borgata does it wrong.

OK. Then to be fair, you are just assuming. But Stan wrote ITT that you are not put in the lobby for comp purposes at Borg and my own experience confirms this to be true.

This. Maybe 3 times total over the 4+ years I've played here.

I have been pretty good about putting in 6-15 hr sessions when I go recently. I may be there and playing for just a few hours this weekend though. Considering not clocking in.

My question is if I use my card for food or parking will that log a 0hr session as I am at the property and not playing at all? If that's the case I might as well log in for the few hours, right?

I could very well be confused. I'm going entirely by the blinking light. Thanks!

+1 exactly what I was talking about. And here are some numbers. 2/5, and 10/20 give Borgata $10 per hour and are treated the same for comps. 1/2 Borgata treats you as $8-9 per hour. So you will probably need more hours at 1/2 to top the 8 hours a day average....As I have been hearing a lot of 1/2 players have lost their summer Saturdays I am sure this is the case, they expect to get $80 rake from you a day so you need to average 9+ hours a day at 1/2

Stan has said in the past its 10-12 hour days for 1/2 to see Friday and occasional Saturdays.

I think you are right, like I said my hours are off this week. I was playing 2/5 and when I was moved to another seat on a table my light was blinking. I played 29.25 hours, but only got only $57.23 for 28.62 hours. Only off by 45 minutes so not even worth complaining about. But who really knows if lobbying makes you miss hours or not, I think it does.

Well say its $8 per hour at 1/2. 10 Hours makes absolute sense to average $80 a day that you would be making playing 8 hours at $10 per hour at 2/5 or 10/20.

After reading a few threads, I'm having the same concern. If I go to Borgata for two nights, get there Wednesday, do plenty of gambling Wednesday and Thursday, and then leave Friday morning with my free parking stub, does that totally sink my comp score? If so I'd probably just pay for the parking but it seems ******ed.

Stan would have answered the questions on here about comps days ago. The new management and 2+2 Rep seem not to care.

I wish you all the best, Vinny, but you are making a big mistake with your communication strategies. And I'm not referring only to the comps questions on 2+2. During times of transition one of the most important things a new leader must do is communicate to his employees and customers. Even overcommunicate. You are UNDER communicating with your customers. I read about it here and hear about it when I'm playing in your room.

Except I was explicitly told by whoever the 2+2 rep is that singular 10 hour sessions mean nothing and its a calculated average. Unless the point you're making is that you need to average 10 hours which gets back to the original point of players that play frequent but shorter days not getting comped rooms.
