Just got the Summer Poker promo mailer today. At the bottom where it goes into detail about the qualifiers for the Deep Stack tournament, it says:

$165+$435 Qualifier - one out of every ten players...

That's a pretty wicked vig.

Nice to know I'm considered a regular. Got these passes yesterday. Planning to use one in two weeks. Wish I could use the poker rate Sun-Thurs offer. Always wanted to stay at the Borg, but didn't want to pay that much for a room I only planned to use for ~6 hours.

I'm by no means a reg- played twice this year so far at the B. one 6 hour session and one 1hr session. got the pass. My hubby got the mailer- no pass. guess he hasn't played at all at the B this year. But- I must say, that little pass does make me a lot more inclined to stop in and play. Weird how it does that.

Actually, the mailing is a little confusing. It says:

ENJOY A COMPLIMENTARY CLASSIC ROOM.
SPECIAL POKER ROOM RATE IS AVAILABLE FOR UP TO TWO NIGHTS PER WEEK:

Sunday & Thursday: $79
Monday - Wednesday: $59

Does that mean the complimentary room is the low rates, or is there also a complimentary room offer?

What it means is that you are offered one night comp and two nights at the poker rate for a total of a three day stay if desired. If you only want to stay one night then it would be comp. Please make your reservations soon before the promo rooms sell out. Thursday seems to be the hot night right now.

Question regarding LLHE games. I saw that once or twice in the recent past that there were 4-8 and 6-12 games running. Can anyone go to the desk and ask to start a list for something not already there? If, for example, there are several 3-6 and 10-20 games going with nothing in between, can I ask to start a list for 4-8 or 5-10 or...?

Also, for the room offer, how much table time is required? I'd be bringing the family along and wouldn't be able to spend as much time playing as I might otherwsie. There is always the middle of the night, but I need to get SOME sleep.

Regarding the Complimentary Classic Room with the $59 and $79 room rates.

I received the mailing as well and there are no complimentary rooms with that offer. I booked 2 nights next week and the rate rates of $59 and $79 are correct. The lady I spoke with said it was deceiving and many people have called in inquiring about a free room but that offer does not grant you a free room just the discounted prices. Just an FYI.

4/8 is the HOSE game. BTW, what's the deal been with the HOSE game the past few weeks ? Is it losing steam already ?

When I went last weekend it was called the same time the usual 2way was, which cannibalized the hose. Just something to consider in future.
