I asked the pit bosses a similar question recently. My friends wanted to sit at the $15 BJ table but personally I was playing $50/hand. I was worried that I was only getting credit for $15/hand, but they confirmed that I'd get comped based on what he consistently saw me betting.

Is the 500k guarantee goin to be worth to play next week? It seems like the best ratio of buy-in to prize... But I feel like its going to be 1000+ people and extremely spread thinly . Anyone with experience in these tournaments know?

that;s why some people (in years past) would bet $15 and when the pit boss came around, bet $50, to make it look like more.

All I ever noticed was they track how much i bought in for and how long I played.

At the $10-$15 card tables, it usually averaged out properly. I played 3 hrs once, broke even, but still got like $30 comp, and room offers.

At higher stakes, maybe more personalized attention make occur, but even those $25-$50 BJ tables are crowded...

do you make time to wash your hands before you sprint back to the table?

The real time burglar are players who act like the WSOP cameras are on them when taking 5 minutes to make a decision.

Even if the reason has to do with the BBJ, if you don't miss a blind you get a table cut, if you miss the blinds tough luck I'm sure someone might give you a couple hundred bucks thanks for leaving the table.

I am far from a regular at the Borgota but got a trip up there planned this weekend, and plan on making the trip monthly.
Not true, see rule #12 of the BBJ rules. but like you said people may throw a few bucks your way, I know I would.

Your probably right. I meant to say in my regular poker room, if you don't miss a blind you get a table cut.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be hard to enforce if the Borgota decided to go that route.

Stan, can you please respond to the issue of the Bravo Poker Live app not functioning during the late to early hours (somewhere around 3am-8am)? These are often the most crucial times to know if your game is running or not. This seems to be the only poker room that has this issue.

Dealing to absent stacks or not makes no difference to me. If Borgata is willing to make a minor rule change that would be a huge help to people who need to be away from the table for a hand or two, they should implement buying the button.

This is a gaming board issue, not a Borgata issue. Same with running it twice and live straddles.

Borgata Wire Transfers

I'm posting this more for informational purposes.

Many players that I've spoken have expressed frustration transporting money to AC. A lot of us who live in New York City proper don't own cars and are forced to user public transportation when traveling to AC. Some of us who play bigger games and need to transport large amounts of cash (10k+) often don't enjoy carrying it on the Greyhound bus.

I just executed my first wire to The Borgata and it was extremely easy. Follow the instructions below and bring 2 forms of ID (they will tell you 1 over the phone, but you need 2).

There is no fee charged by the Borgata (your bank may charge a fee for domestic wires) and it's a seamless process. I wired my funds out at 2pm on Tuesday and the Borgata received them a few hours later.

If you have any questions please feel free to PM me or just call the Borgata and ask to be transferred to the cashier.

Thanks,

LisseThoron

I didnt think their www site used BPL. It would be on bravopokerlive.com too if it was (maybe?).

Sands PA and Venetian LV has BPL on their site, and it's real time, 24x7. Not sure why Borgata doesn't do the same (or every casino for that matter).

The Borgata is on the app, not sure about the website as I've never used it but I assume it displays the same information as the app. Pretty much every casino around does display 24/7, which is why it's a mystery they don't here.

Have you looked into a line of credit (marker privileges)?

that way if you can cover the markers with chips or cash when leaving, no money comes out of your account. if not the marker becomes a check after a grace period

I'm gonna apply for one (first time) at the B next week which is why I ask.

Do you know the basic requirements for getting a marker?? I've always thought it would be a lot easier than figuring out how much money to get outta the bank for a whole weekend. Couple times have lost what I thought would be enough in the first night and gotta cash another check for a 50 dollar fee at the casino.

You give them your bank account number and thats all you need or what?

I think for a marker they just need your credit card, and if you dont pay it back they charge the card.

it depends on the casino, but looking at a few application they just ask name, address, ss#, bank account info. and you can fax them the application

I believe they will then just run a credit check and verify the balance in the checking account. They can also check if you have lines with any other casinos and for outstanding markers

I'm just gonna go in person
