We have seen a lot of faces lately that we haven't seen in a while. They tell us that they are back to play live because of the internet shutdown. We will know more regarding the impact as we approach summer.

Stan-

With the Bravo system, will players in time-charge games continue to earn comps while away from the table (with their stack still on the table)?

I seem to remember playing a raked game at foxwoods, and understandably, when a player walked away for a break, the dealer would push a button and their seat number would blink, indicating they are no longer earning comps.

I really love table games but to play craps with a proper bankroll in AC requires thousands. In vegas you can find 1-3$ tables all over and play for a long time with a few hundred. My main gripe with AC =(
So what's the lowest stakes you can usually find for pit games in AC?

I'm really disappointed the Borgata is switching to the bravo system. I don't see how it benefits the player at all.

To explain your disappointment, please explain how the Bravo system hurts players, in your opinion.

IMO, the only people who would be disappointed to see the Bravo system are those who attempt to game the casino by clocking in and then disappearing for long stretches while still collecting comps.

The rest of us are happy to see it implemented. I'm one of those morons who always forgets to swipe out at the end of a session, so I give it a big thumbs up.

a legit reason to not like the bravo system is it slows down the game a little bit

There is no reason that it should slow the game down. I am a dealer at a casino that has used he Bravo system for months. It works fine, as long as the dealers keep it updated. No longer does the dealer have to holler " seat open, table so and so". It automatically shows at the podium. You also don't have to try to find a floor person to swipe you in. It gets taken care of at the table. Also, you don't have to try to remember to swipe out, at the end of your session. Time players don't have to worry about not getting credit. It is taken care of if you are away from the table.

Anyone know the best way to get to the Borg from the AC airport (other than taking a cab)?

Stan is there any hope that once the bravo system goes in that poker comp system will marry up with the regular system any better or will they still be separate?

I also see this is as a good thing...although I will miss dealers yelling SEAT OPEN! in much the same way you miss hearing the coins clink in the slot areas.

I would also like a more decisive answer on the clock out question while you are away from a table that you have chips at. I play in time charge games and the casino takes my time from my stack if there is a dealer change and I happen to be away from the table so I'm not really sure why I would stop getting my comp if I happen to go have a smoke or something.

red the only thing that seems to pop up on the radar is this tropiano transport. I've never heard of them but I saw something saying you could get from ACY to the casinos for around $13. A much better deal than the $60-$70 I imagine car service is going for now.

The odd thing is that there isn't any 'public transportation' from the airport to AC proper.....I guess they just don't have enough traffic to warrant putting a bus line in?

How long are you staying at Borgata? I would call them and see if they can do anything for you.....can't hurt & could help.

Enjoy your trip.

Regardless of what type of game you are playing (rake or time), you will not be clocked out because you are away from the table. If you reach the time that your chips need to be picked up, you will then be clocked out.

I believe that it will marry up better than our current system.

Another way this is helpful, is that it helps the dealers become familiar with the players, - 'john' wearing a red hat is seating in seat '4' - my impression is that it helps the dealers know the players and thereby reduce the risk that a player may come back from the men's room sit at the wrong table and win a $100 pot! I often see elderly men have no clue what table they were seated at!
I only make the mistake of coming back from the bathroom and sitting at the wrong table about once every six months...

It would be nice if the bravo system could be linked up to a web page that shows, in real time, every table open and every seat available, plus every list (no names on list, just how many).

That would benefit the player so much, and would probably drive business if local players could see, oh, there's a PLO game with 2 seats, or look, there's a 10-20 o8 with 8 on the list, let me get down there.

or would this be too much info for your competitors?
