Have you played recently? If you haven't been there in a while (over a month), your offer will change, as it will if your average hours/day drops.

If your ID on file has expired, that can shut off your offers, too.

Yes, back in Jan. I only go for the poker open tourneys. I saw the comp rooms back in Jan as I tested booking in April but didnt know the dates for SPO yet and now 6-7 weeks later no comps.

That January trip may have killed your offers.

If you have a reservation between now and the SPO, your room offers for the SPO should open up after your upcoming reservation.

Also, if you were to cancel your upcoming reservation, your room offers for the SPO should then become available.

Anybody know what happened the other night when a guy refused to pay after supposedly verbally declaring a call? 2-5 PLO, I think.

Donald Trump told the other players at the table to take him outside and punch his face. And, if they were to be arrested, he would pay their legal bills.

Yes I was at the table, and I called him a Donald Trump supporter. Total psychopath, he called an all in pre-flop at 2/5 NL and told the table look what I am going to do, lost the hand, then said he never called, the whole table yelled at him and I called over floor, who called over shift manager (for the 3rd time in an hour, as he refused to pay a $50 bet before), who called security and took him out. He came back 5 minutes later and paid the player, and then was banned. Hopefully the poker manager does not let him back, or at least suspends him for a few months, total dead money but bad for the room, we don't need any thugs in the room, we don't want this to turn into the Taj.

I agree completely with the bolded portion of the quote.

But I am very surprised that he was allowed to continue playing after not paying a $50 call earlier. Even if I had not been in the hand, if I had heard him call a $50 bet, and then witnessed him not pay, I would have aggressively argued that he would have needed to pay the $50.

He paid the $50 after a 5 minute dispute in which he got the floor to look over the video.

Honestly Borg has drawn a lot of scummy Taj players and is the reason I exclusively play at Parx. It has become a conglomerate cesspool of AC regs and you pretty much have to wear a slicker just to walk in there. Oh yea and the dealers are fkn terrible and don't enforce the new supposed rules.

+1 on a whole, which is a shame they used to have mostly good dealers.

Granted I may not have been playing for as long as you but I've been going every weekend and I very rarely have an issue with the dealers at Borgata considering how many hours a week I play. Granted there are a small amount of bad ones but that is a given with anywhere you go. For the general most part, the dealers are not only skilled, but extremely friendly if you make any kind of effort to talk to them.

wait till you ask them to count the pot

it's not all bad though, the very worst ones mostly either quit/retired or on their way out. I can live with passable and there are still quite a few dealers who know what they are doing

Can't tell if sarcasm, but I'm reasonably sure that dealers aren't required to count the pot?

Play plo with some of those clowns or ask them to run it twice and see how good they are.i don't expect perfection but some dealers can almost never count the pot right and the numbers they come up with come straight out of their ass.

There are 4-5 dealers I will not run it twice with in the box bc it's an absolute **** show.
My favorite was in a 5k pot at 2/5 plo all in on the turn this genius who looks like Mr Rogers puts out one river, then burns and puts out a flop for the second river.

Some of them also clearly just don't give a **** about their jobs, constantly misdeal and pay no attention to what's going on. even worse is that some of the worst ones also are dual floor- which I guess makes sense bc the better dealers make more in tips than they would from flooring so they pass it up.

A lot of them constantly roll the deck and one was dealing so slow and so high I was able to call out cards being dealt. I nicely asked him to deal the cards lower and level twice, then he caught an attitude with me, called for the floor and the floor who came over was one of the worst dealers in the place. And he couldn't have given half a **** about what was going on.

It's a shame-really nice poker room and it's great to get free rooms, but going to **** slowly since Stan left.

hahaha, this is amazing

yeah this or shipping the pot to the wrong person with all hands tabled etc is totally standard with some of them, I kinda learned to just have the numbers ready for the superstars in the box so the game doesn't slow down to a crawling halt

I have to agree since Live opened up a couple years ago all the good dealers left, then all the new rule changes and none of the dealers know what the rules are because they keep chaining

I've recently moved my play to Parx almost exclusively and the dealers are definitely better at Parx.
