Can you use comp dollars towards paying for rooms on saturdays or other days?

How much do the games in AC dry up during the winter? Is it just reg/pro fest or do they still pull 2/5+ consistently beatable?

Sorry for a redundant question, but it's been over a year since I've been in AC. Is there still 40/80 and up mixed running Fri-Sun? I forget whether or not anything got going on Thursdays, but on Bravo I only see 75/150 Omaha 8 running.

Used to be like 75/150 08/S8/BA/BA2 on Fri then 100/200 or higher Sat Sun. Same? Thanks!

Pretty much always some bigger mix going..idk specifically what games though. Usually like 50 or 75 then a 150-300 or maybe 2-400.

Caught the burlesque show Thursday night. Was real funny and a lot of nice looking women in the show. Deff recommend it. Chopping the Friday 10k wasn't bad either.

Yes. No more 3/6. Played the 4/8 yesterday, lots of action. All old people. But a great game.

Yeah, I've been meaning to take care of that.

It's probably time for a general update. If anybody has corrections / revisions to suggest, PM me and I'll put them all together so we only have to ask the mods to go into it once.

Looking to expound on this a bit. Perhaps a room rep can supply an answer. If requested and gains enough interest lost, would a 1/2 deep be able to be spread? Something along the lines of $150-$600 $4 rake or similar to the time take of a 2/5? Maybe $4 down?

This is never going to happen, since their 2 5 is a 200-500 game.

They try to spread 2:5 deep and I think I've seen that actually running once in my life

So you would say it's a regular game? I play there 40 hours a month and always see "interest." Has there ever been more than one table?

I've only been playing at borg for a little over a year but it hardly seems regular to me.

From what I remember, I have played $2/$5 Deep during the Spring, Summer, Fall (?), and Winter Open series (about two week stretches).

How many poker rooms have you been to in USA? I personally can think of 2 rooms that are either slightly better or much better in terms of overall service just in my opinion, maybe not overall action. Only been playing at Borgata for a short period now, honestly not in with all the regs/floor people so maybe I just haven't had the "experience" you're referring to yet.

Can you name another casino of that caliber that spreads stakes from 1/2 nL to 200/400 mix that comps it's regulars two hotel rooms per week and has a buffet/open bar for 10$?

If by service you mean the floors/dealers babying it's regulars than I'm sure there are plenty of Podunk casinos that have better service than borgata but I personally don't really care about that. I just like the game selection and free rooms.

Its a short list, and Borgata is on it. Along with:
Wynn
Venetian (Adelson haters notwithstanding)
Hustler
Isle Pompano

above purely IMO...there are others, but I'm looking fwd to being at Borgata soon.

i wasn't going to comment on this subject, but was sitting here thinking of a list myself and it matches pretty close to yours! good list.

if you take into account the 4 major categories (the 4 i made up in my mind this morning):

-action
-customer service/'how well the room is run'
-comps/promos/player perks/drinks and food
-comfort/quality of the room itself

i think this list is the same as mine (except maybe hustler... i've only be to the LA hustler once and don't have a strong opinion one way or the other). and i'd probably put borgata at the top and the venetian just below it.

I saw the original post this morning. I have been to quite a few casinos around the country and there is a very small list that actually care about players. Not just the comps, free rooms, show tickets, free parking, $10 buffet as a poker player. That alone is fabulous.
What about the guaranteed events monthly withstanding the open events 4 times a year. The caliber of gambler that wanders in off the floor. The respect the staff has for us as a community. The tournament director is receptive to input from the community and runs some of the best events in the country. Thats evident in the wpt championship being played here the last two years. I've been playing in this city for since i was too young to play back in 1992 and they are it IMHO.
Having said all that i do believe Venetian, and Bay 101 are very nice as well.

i just got an email from MGM saying you can now get a Black card at Borgata by showing an MGM gold card.

I already have a black card, so this in particular makes no difference to me...but perhaps it will mean more reciprocal comps with MGM properties in Vegas in the future?
