If u put in 10 hrs in 1 day at 2/5 NL u should be able to get at least 1 night comp from Sunday thur. Thursday and if u put in 24 to 36 hrs in a month u should get at least 2 nights comped for Sunday thur. Friday and somtime even Saturday. They usually comped my Saturday in the last minute (so check the myborgata reward on Friday for the Saturday comp). If the day u are not comped, u can also get a discount rate usally 1/2 price at least for me.

2/5 is timed rate every 1/2 hour and u can buy in for $ 100 which is pathetic.

I though someone has already put together an FAQ for this subject a few weeks back? People just need to know where to find it.

Ill help put together an FAQ.

But serious stupid question (not that stupid): if I put in 20 hrs/wk at 1/2 does anyone think I can get Fridays or Saturdays? I'm chasing that black card.

Nope. A few weeks ago it was being discussed that a few people should work together to create one. Posters chimed in with suggestions for info, etc. It is probably still in the works. All I know is that neither Rapini nor I have received one to insert into the 1st post in this thread (which is where it would go)... the title of this thread would be updated to indicate the presence of a FAQ.

From what I've read in the thread that *might* get you a Friday, but not Saturday. You'd need to either play more or play higher.

I'm working on a FAQ.

My current thinking on the answer to the room comp question is that there's not one solid formula that we know. Most of the asking seems to be looking for "Do xyz and you'll get comped Saturdays", and I don't think there's anything that specific and consistent that we can pin down.

Playing 20 hours a week of 1/2 would probably get you Fridays, I think. I have most Fridays available from 8-10 hours every few weeks. I've seen an occasional Saturday this winter, but don't have any available now. But there's no saying for sure that you'd get the same; the system seems to more than just count hours and spit out comp nights at the appropriate numbers.

Too many variables to get a precise answer. Game types and limits, hours played, room availability etc. what I do know is, if you play 10 hours of 2-5 NL in one day, you will get offers for the next 12 weeks. What these offers are may vary.

U may already know this but if u put in 60 hrs 1/2 in Feb u'll get 50 bonus comps that should put your black card chase a bit closer.

I have gotten Sat. comp many times in the past by checking on Friday. So it usally a last minute thing or pay $ 99 in my case. Another way u may get a Sat. comp is if the holiday falls on a Monday then your comp day get push over 1 day and u get a Sat. comp. This is because your Sun. no longer comped because of the Monday holiday. Happened to me before.

I asked Stan and the bonus comps do not count towards black card chase unfortunately.

If I'm like ~100 bucks shorts on the 1000 you need for a black card by my expiration date (mid April) do you think they will work with me some sort of deal?

I played $1/$2 NL a few days last week. I have comps available here and there through the end of Feb.

But I also have this, which goes to the benefits of booking early:

I've found that if you look at comped rooms further out you're more apt to get Fridays. I play a mix of 1/2 & 2/5 depending on game selection. Right now I have rooms booked:

See how they have already taken one Friday from me 3/15 or at least have min charges.

The 1/2 PLO (5 Bring) was great action Friday through Sunday. Died a bit when some people that actually knew what a wrap was sat down...

Likely they have a higher demand for that date. There is a system that labels the days with a different priority. That "code" reflects the reduction/comp you are offered.

Say if the priority of the day is 10 and your comp level is 7 you get a $59 rate.
if it's 12 and your 7 it's $119.
If it's 7 and your level 7 it's comped...

At least that's my understanding from watching the magic second hand.

$59 as far as I know is the bottom dollar rate.

----------------------------------

Has anyone that only plays poker have any experience using their black label card to get comped or reduced rooms in Vegas?

Just looking to see if I can get any comped rooms from my poker play. Don't want to spend $100+ a night at wynn or "settle" for staying at the flamingo.

Just so darn spoiled with how well the Borgata treats us!!!!

Funny how the tides have turned. 20 years ago, AC crapped on it's players and only comped high rollers while Vegas would give you a free weeks stay, buffets + drinks for playing a couple hours a day at a $5 table.

Actually, I had heard the same thing in this thread a few weeks back, so a few weeks back, I went down to the Borg for 3 days, played tourneys on 2 days and put in a 10 hr sesh at 2/5 on the other day and my comp situation didn't change at all. Still no comps available. Came back down this past weekend and played a survivor and some cash, still no effect on comp rooms, looked all the way through til April. Even played some craps and blackjack ($25 tables) with a friend who was down for the day. Was planning on coming down this weekend to play satties and hopefully the main, but it can't be profitable if I'm paying room rates for a week. Not sure what it takes at the B any more.

My apologies if this is one of those frequently asked questions,

does Borgata still charge the $150/night deposit for comped rooms?

personally not a fan of seeing my bank account fluctuate
