How safe is your money on these sites? From what I've read here, mondogoal only has 300-600 unique accounts and is offering an overlay most weeks. Clearly that isnt sustainable so is anyone worried about safety of funds?
Other than the sign up bonus' is there any option for rakeback other than becoming an affiliate?
Im really grateful for any answers received. Thanks.
Hi Perfection,
Welcome to the DFS world. Have fun with it as the UK market still in freshers mode, there are few soft games around to win and build bankroll.
Mondogoal is the not the only option at all. They do offer though the biggest prizes and diverse leagues from UK, Europe and around the world.
You have Playon, SportDraftr, Oulala, Draft 11 with similar detailed scoring like Mondogoal. Decent free roll's to start with too. Playon offers other sports like basketball and cricket.
You have those with scoring closer to the FPL game and captain options like - Fantasybet, Fanteam, Premier Punt. Fanteam offers diverse leagues (11 European Leagues), ice hockey and poker.
You have those with a different take with no salary price but captain option like bet4best, no salary price and no captain like - Fanto. Fanto offers other sports like rugby and cricket.
Then other niche games like FanFeud, PickLive and playdribble.
Draftkings must surely depend on their legal situation in the US, unless that is fully resolved hard to see them go live in the UK where their product is categorized as gambling.
You can use this season games to try out the various games on offer and which one is to your liking. There will be more DFS platforms coming to the UK besides Draftkings and Fan Duel in 2016.
Will update you when they go live with their game offerings, most likely closer to the big summer tournament - Euro 2016 in France. Around six DFS sites are under construction or awaiting licences to be approved. So we could easily end up with over twenty platform's to play games in. Quantity vs quality is another question.
Just sign up bonus and being an affiliate, not many other option for rakeback.
Regarding money safety across these sites, always good to test it out using withdrawal to bank card or e-wallet like Skrill or Neteller. So far so good, most have processed it fine. Some ask for ID as required by know your customer rules and some do not.
One last things none of the UK DFS sites offer late swap. Fantasy bet and Fanteam do allow substitute players. With no late swap or subs, one is at the mercy of managers tinkering and rotation. You get a big fat
0 score for non-starting and non-playing player and hard to win the contest as a result. This is the biggest Achilles heel of DFS games and hope they will fix it soon enough.
