Some important questions:

1. Are all current soccer DFS (DK, Mondogoal, Fanaments) just using 90min? (like EU sports betting)
2. What happens with added injury time?
3. What happens with overtime (the +15m periods)?
4. More importantly, what do you want/wish to happen?

Getting back into EPL dfs and the crossing change feels pretty brutal for casual players. If you miss one key corner taker you're completely screwed in cash.

Naughton decided he didn't want me to make lots of money today. And yes new scoring rapes casual fan. Set piece takes were already great before the change and the bad regs were too dumb to realize it. Since the change all the bad regs realized they could sort by crosses and pick set piece takers and not have awful line ups so it's just a lot of variance now with new players getting fleeced.

20 pts of crosses for de bruyne is just awful. I think he only had one successful cross from all his attempts. We should petition DK to lower the 1 pt they award for every chuck of the ball into the mixer. De bruyne is just 5 pts short of Giroud(28 dk pts), who has 2 goals to his name.

Seems harsh that goalkeepers don't get any points for assists or goals however rare they may be. Fabianski, for example, had an assist v Southampton unrewarded by mondo and also came within inches of scoring v Man Utd which also would have gone unrewarded.

A lot of keepers play the long quick ball over the top effectively and can turn a defensive situation into a goal scoring opportunity within seconds.

DraftKings will have not much chance of launching a soccer product in Europe using scoring like this. They are mixing apples and oranges big time here.

Crossing and set-pieces should never outscore goals/assists. Goals/Assists are the meat and potato of soccer be it watching it or playing fantasy.

Imagine Messi with all his goals/assists being overlooked for a player that crosses a lot and takes a lot of set-pieces as well. Absurd way of understanding and scoring football.

Goals still matter massively, and players that do things like cross/shoot/and get fouled who also can score arent overlooked. Messi is pretty much unfadeable in DK so your point is a bit moot. Crosses are overpowered currently but its mostly because of corners. They add a really nice wrinkle to the game where you cant just blindly pick players and suffer no repercussions when they don't score like in the FPL game.

I basically completely stopped playing on mondogoal when they nerfed fouls because of this affect. Silly to not be punished even slightly if you pick players who do nothing all game but might score their only shot, needs to be a balance where you have to make tough decisions between pure goal scorers and players who influence the game positively without scoring. Crossing probably isn't the ideal stat but it serves a purpose well, corners just need to be removed as it makes the importance of matchups go way down.

I listened to this podcast in the morning and was amusing. It was solely for Draft Kings game and they did not even bother with strikers. All they discussed was who will get the most crosses and is on set-piece duties.

Here is where I play and this is about right if one is going to do detailed scoring. New platform but has it as close to what a game of football is actually like. They offer all the 10 fixtures, 4-4-2, no captain option and you can see ownership % after games start.

Their prize pool is small as they only three months old. Late swap feature added we could be on to a great platform. Very smooth platform and no glitches at all. Champions league games are offered too.

I am as well bored of having six fixtures where everyone picks very similar line-up's and it is old hat as they do on Mondo. Best to play the smaller fun sites.

In all seriousness, we Europeans should assume DK will not come anytime soon and stop focusing on their products. A lot of platforms are already here and, with a bit of luck, we will some some consolidation in the sector and some marketing push by the time the Euro starts.
