I never said they were going to go after any idividuals did I, i just agree with the other guy that the DoJ is going to make a case that implies playing online poker "within" the united states for "real" money is illegal because of the fact that the UIGEA states that it is illegal for banks to facilitate the xfering of money from US players onto sites. That being said there is technically no way is which a US player would be able to play for real money without the act of playing online poker basically illegal.

If you haven't realized this yet, This is really ****ing sucks. My life just got alot more ****ing boring. Just going through Stars lobbying seeing all those tourneys I played last week have there gteeds cut in half is numbing.....

It's not just the US, not by a long shot. Money is in control of the entire EU right now, nevermind on an individual basis. A lot of it falls back onto private banks and wealthy individuals who use their money to asset influence over national or international politics.

If US and EU politics are corrupted by money, you can be damn sure it's the same everywhere else.

There's no point in getting down and hating your country (America) over this. It's ******ed, but if the EU wasn't struggling financially and facing the very real possibility of the Euro collapsing in the next few years, their efforts would be focused on equally shallow, dumb decisions.
