Now Caesars is acting.

You'd have to assume that the reason why the WSOPC at Ballys hasnt been cancelled yet is because they are so so cash broke that they are trying to get every dollar before they are forced to close. Gets a few people in the building, might punt some slots and some hotel room reservations.

Their fixed costs for this event are basically gonna be the same whether it goes ahead or not

You either don't have kids or have never been to a theme park.

This is an interesting idea, but if such insurance exists it would theoretically insta-break all the insurance companies wouldn't it? Everything's being shut down and insurance notoriously doesn't payout if they have anything remotely resembling an argument not to.

The game has historically been rigged in favor of insurance companies I'm not sure this is actually a factor or not.

Edit to add: Is that kid in the twitter video above actually being coached to go "across" by their adult supervisor? I guess if you're a zero moral monster, kids cost money and viral videos potentially make money so the GTO play is obvious? Unbelievable.

Just like the players decided to play in said tournament during said pandemic.

HR is totally justified in their decision and while they could have returned the $70 they certainly aren't required to do so. Casinos are there to make money, not do the right thing and everyone knows that walking in the door.

And even if he is offensive to some, there is a perfectly simple remedy for those offended that has nothing to do with "banning" him. Free speech is not just a law and/or a right, it is also an idea. Demanding that someone be "shut up" by the powers that be because they offend you is antithetical to that idea, for the simple reason that people can and do find something to be offended by on a minute by minute basis. If you believe in free speech as an idea, and not just something that matters when it involves you, then you should be championing Kelvis' ability to post here for those that choose to listen to him... not the opposite.

For the record, Kelvis wasn't just banned for his posting in this thread. He had
70 infraction points prior to the ban including those for posting racist comments and he had 8 notes regarding his collection of terrible posting.

If you want to discuss his ban any further do so in the NVG Moderation thread.

So Pence suppose to criticize the president publicly during a crisis? Yeah, great timing. And since you called out Pence, why not call out all the other executives who came and work with the president to solve this problem? Don't pick and choose.

Well that escalated quickly, unless my understanding of the prior count was way off. This is in response to 9 new presumptive cases in Clark County.

I prefer to have an intelligent discussion in an idiot-free forum as much as possible, but thanks for telling me what I should think.

I’m not aware of any major events in June that have already announced cancellations. So I don’t know why the WSOP would do this. If you already feel certain that the WSOP would be unsafe during this timeframe, you are free to cancel your own plans.

This press conference is a trumpster fire

CBS Reporter: You say you don't take responsibility for the lack of testing, but can you talk about your decision to disband the global health security team and do you take responsibility for that?

Trump: I don't know anything about that. Maybe it happened idk. Anyways we're doing a great job we are the best.

lol
