Good move by them. Really hope they get a good turnout, could maybe see a raft of new signups as a lot of people won't want to go out or be working from home.

With casinos and poker rooms closing nationally maybe its finally time for the government to get off its ass and pass a bill that allows online gaming.

That's fair. Reasonable people can differ on this point.

It's not reasonable to think that not wanting hate-mongering speech on this forum means I am against the idea of free speech. In my opinion, people can post that kind of stuff on bigots-dot-com or wherever they like to hang out. I prefer not to see it on the poker forum that I frequent.

I would suggest this to both of you, however: If you think it wasn't hate speech, plug in any other group segment (gender, race, sexual preference, ethnicity) instead of age and see how comfortable you are with that speech being protected on 2+2.

Good thing WSOP is adding to the online tourneys, it won't be long to most of the casinos are temp shut down.

I'm a hardass on this issue, but i don't want to derail the thread.

On the Las Vegas Strip, the Bellagio is having an okay Friday night with 19 tables running (six 1-3 NL, four 2-5 NL, five 5-10 NL, one 10-20 NL, one 20-40 limit, one 40-80 limit, and one 80-160 mixed). That's actually a lot of 5-10 games.

The other big rooms are dead. Aria has 10 tables, Encore has 9, and the Venetian has 6.

Bay 101 down

No problems at South Point

unfortunatly with ppl from all over the world in my humble opinion wsop2020 will be suspended 100%
03-13-2020 , 11:14 PM
But the chances just increased greatly a lot of it can be moved online and scaled down a bit on the buy ins, since they just showed the willingness to do it today with the new online series starting tomorrow instead of the cancelled wsop circuit.

You heard it here first.
It blows my mind that some people can't comprehend the value that testing provides in tracking and helping to focus containment efforts and providing other valuable data.

Like seriously that's the logic? Everyone will get it eventually so what's the point? just wow.

Just saw that Commerce is at 36 games, 8pm Friday. Crazy.

When is it reasonably time to personally suspend play on the strip?

I wouldn't play now. Probably most other strip casinos will follow suit and close poker and sports, restaurants etc. in the next days. Occupancy is the lowest ever likely since 911.
