the $570 buy-in $400000 guarantee made it three starting flights (out of six) before they canceled the tournament and announced they would chip chop the surviving day 2 players. but now they want to chip chop us for $124000 ($500 * total entries) instead of the guaranteed $400000. if ignoring the guarantee isnt enough, they are also keeping in full their $70 fee for the tournament without even delivering to us over half of the product for that price (dealing and hosting more than half of the tournament).

this seems VERY wrong and fraudulent. i am personally out ~$8000 by this decision, and the 48 of us are combined out $276000 (!!!) by this decision. what can we do?"

You have your priorities all wrong. STFU and take the money which you deserve. You do NOT deserve the guarantee amount. Some rebate on rake maybe but that isn't meaningful in the scheme of things.

Foxwoods has a $400 HighFlyer Stack $200,000 that started today. They only have 40 entries so far for day 1A. You can see the writing on the wall here with what is probably gonna happen. They will realize that they will be so far away from the guarantee that they will also cancel mid tournament. It's like giving these casinos a freeroll to screw the players.

You have obviously never stood in a line at a theme park

Here is another series planning to run:

other thing I don t understand about these MTT cancels is if these are deemed a risk, what about poker room with cash games?

and agree with @AKyouwin. Aside from buried healthcare system, the next biggest risk with this thing (depending on how bad is gets) is the millions and millions of workers who will suddenly have no pay.

Sounds like some sort of "paid leave" bill is making the rounds thru Congress.

I'm hopeful they do something soon to ease anxiety of people who will be ruined economically, but hose corrupt idiots (on both sides) couldn't pass a bill that said the sky is blue, so not holding my breath.

well because they won't pay the guarantee although they did decide to host a tournament amidst the pandemic? don't pay the guarantee but they should lose money over that

It's a common misconception that free speech rights in the US obligates private organizations like 2+2 to provide a forum for unabridged speech. The first amendment is only about the government not passing laws that abridge free speech.

2+2 can decide they don't want to allow posts that contain hateful sentiments, they can ban people for just being nuisances, and they can do pretty much anything else that they deem in their own or their members' best interest.

2+2 member Chris Baud (baudib1) with a write-up for deadspin.

I'm unsure if Thomas helped with the feature image but it's A+++ too.

In the midst of a pandemic, it is downright dangerous and unethical for a forum to allow this.

No. Kelvis is an obvious ass, but under no circumstance should he be banned.

Bally's(Caesars) won't give up. They are still running shows, buffets, tournaments, etc. Have they closed anything?

2+2 can't decide that they don't want to allow obvious asses to continue to post their obvious assery? (with the line as to what is too far being drawn at their own discretion)

It's risk free for Caesar's. When the inevitable lawsuits roll in they'll be at the back of the line to collect from the bankruptcy court.

I guess only if the Governor says so for them.

This guy almost has the entire Westgate Sports book to himself. Only thing to bet now is UFC tomorrow or futures.

03-13-2020 , 02:58 PM
Where's Jack Effel with all this going on? That guy should have been fired years ago. Has he made any statements? Absolutely pathetic, the whole company. They deserve to go into bankruptcy.
