Is anyone playing now? Heading up there shortly. Juicy games or what?

I heard that the mistake the brush (can't name names lol) made was bad.... He or she dropped the rack, picked them up, colored up the player and was over $200 and some dollars short. (it was a rack of green and red)....

Why not just fire the brush or better yet, punish them somehow and not punish the players??? Oh yeah, it's THR where they refuse to get things right the first time...

Is $200 really a big error in the grand scheme of things?

If so I must be completely confused on the type of margin they are making out there.

They weren't the casinos chips... they were a player's chips. Also, there was a big discrepancy as to the count...

do you mean a discrepancy between what the player said he gave the brush, and what the brush said?

I've colored up many times without a problem, but I have wondered why the brushes don't give the players those buttons with the amount of chips they take, like they do when they fill the dealers. Seems like that would solve the problem of chip counts. Or a piece of paper filled out like the meal tickets. Something to protect both brush and player from misrepresenting the amount to be colored up.

Biggest problem with this IMO is that when a live one wins a big pot, especially a drunk one that has a hard time stacking chips, they always want to color up. Whether it's to feel cool having some black chips or to make it easier to manage. When the brush would come over and help, the live one never leaves the action. If the fish actually makes it to the cage with chips racked there is a 90%+ chance reality sets in for a minute and they realize they have an opportunity to cash out and leave promptly. That is the biggest problem with this new rule

Yea they should have the lammers when getting colored up anyway so the players and dealer know how much they are behind.
But dealers dont give a crap and Ive never even seen an anouncement from a dealer that a player is X amount behind when getting colored up.
The dealers there are so far away from dealers in vegas/ac/ms/etc.

Was there briefly last night (stacked off AJ flopped A2x vs.22 fml; I'm such a fish) and saw a big improvement (on its way anyway): above the podium, Steven Tyler is gone, and there are electrical/catv stub-outs for a monitor. I asked the list guy if they're actually going to put a list monitor up where everyone could see it and he replied "Some day" lol.

The Tara reed picture was there, and the elvis picture was in the bathroom split between the mens and womens bathroom. Word is that people complained about elvis picture being in the bathroom. like disrespect.
So they moved the Tara reed picture to the bathroom lol.

It is possible they would put a monitor there in the blank spot now but I wouldnt hold your breath.

Nowhere except SouthEast Florida (Miami, Ft. Laud, Palm Beach area).

And 5/10/20 they do at THR is NOT 10/20

I think that would be Kid Rock...

I'm not there to confirm. I can name them all when I see them. Even the Dave Navarro and Aaron (from the band Staind) lol most people don't know the second one. I bet a guy at the table $100 he could not name all of them. I made him look at me until he decided he would give it a go and that was the one that stumped him.

I would pay more attention to the max buy-in (and typical buy-in) than the blinds. The buy-ins are what typically determines how much action takes place.

While it is true there are only a couple "fish" in Tampa and palm beach, other than that you are dealing with solid live regulars and online regs that grind mid/ high stakes online and several less than well know pros.

In all honesty you missed the initial boom when they uncapped the buy ins where people were literally giving away thousands of dollars. Most of the well-off businessmen that got initially abused at the beginning have all dropped down to 2/5 and 1/3 since it is just entertainment for them.

My previous statement was, "no money in Florida high stakes, everyone's solid" and while that may be an over-assumption I stand behind it. The games are 10 times more difficult than they were a mere 3 months ago.

Hey guys and gals(are there any gals that post on here? lol), I've been lurking on here once in a while for the past 9 months or so and finally felt it was time to register and contribute to the fabulous forums on 2+2. I have been playing for a living on and off for a few years live and online(mostly live) and without any supplemental job(s) for the last year. I am a reg at 2-5, I'm sure you've all seen me, the younger, taller(skinny) kid with long hair always pulled back(although I keep saying I'm going to cut my hair one day soon), and usually wearing a sweatshirt. Anyways I'm glad to be able to post now and will be looking forward to lurking(and now posting!) more regularly.

Weber I was actually directly to the drunk donk's left in seat nine(for a few hours) when the wild situation happened when he over bet shoved all in for 1300 on a board that contained 2 fives against a less than average opponent. The board flopped 785 and either turned or rivered another 5. Dude had A5 and the donk had 104 off! He was unintentionally flashing the ten to anyone on his side of the table and the spectators that began to grow behind him. After the dude thought about calling the bet for an extended period of time, he began to get slightly nervous that someone was actually going to call him on one of his huge bluffs for once(he had been pushing people off large 500++ pots the entire three hours he was there) and decided to show the 4 to his opponent in hopes of repping a straight and get a fold. He and the other guy(who also may have been drunk at this point but I wasn't sure) talked back and forth for a time until the guy finally made the correct call, and scooped the monstrous pot. Ok now for the side story: preflop there was a guy in the blinds in about the six seat that proclaimed he would call any raise with pocket sixes, while looking at his cards one by one he basically let everyone know as he squeezed them that he had one six and the other card was upside down or he would have called, obviously folding 69, of course he would have flopped the nuts and if anyone wasn't paying attention to him preflop, he let out even more exaggerated anguish postflop. He actually looked right at me and mouthed his hand without speaking lol. So this is what the drunken spewing crazy bluffing donk was mad about, rightfully so in that regard imo. He was way too inebriated to correctly complain not that it would have mattered in a decision anyway.

Right when I sat down, there was a CAHRAAZY hand that basically let everyone know the donk's intentions when, he raised pre to 35 with 910 off and got a few callers, flop was AJx in which he cbeted near pot size and was called by a guy in position two to the donks left, turn was a 10 and he bet large again followed by a min raise to which the donk quickly snap all ined for like 1800 more or so. So the guy was put to a tough decision(he had the donk covered) and finally announced that if he had pocket tens then he was beat, and made a really good call with top two AJ. Well the river was a ten and the donk nearly jumped out of his seat and clapped loudly while yelling happy belligerent thoughts LMAO. This set up for some truly exciting very large hands/pots that the donk would build up and then sometimes shove on the river, no matter his holding(while not showing and never telling what he had except one hand when he claimed to have AK of diamonds when the board paired on the river(no ace or king on board), but turned a spade three flush(although it didnt seem anyone had a set before the river) and one of the players was betting into the donk(and getting raised) with a flush draw and then turned the flush J high, and the donk shoved on the river after his tight opponent checked. The guy reluctantly folded after quite some time but no one dared call a clock during any of the extended period hands when the donk would shove)

It was a crazy three hours of poker before someone finally had the balls to make a call against him that I unfortunately wasn't able to capitalize on(he actually messed me up on a hand for a bit less than $250 when I was in the BB with QJ and he held Q7 in the SB for a Q78 flop, I raised his flop bet to isolate then called down the turn and river..)

At THR you will find:

<10% fish
60% crappy regs that know what they're doing, but mistakes are still made
25% good online players
5% very solid, gypsy pros (one of which I know took a local game for over $1M)

Because it is a retirement state the best games usually go off from 4pm-12am, everyone after that is either chasing money or solid.
