I was all the way over on table thirty-something and you could totally tell it was Action Dan just by his mannerisms and his ever-present slouch.

I did successfully play a tournament with my players card and one or 2 cash sessions after the ban so perhaps I could play. I did go back one other time time and try to play again on an autoshuffler table cause I was bored waiting and they should welcome all action there but they still kicked me out and said I couldn't even play poker.

Would be very tilting to hit it and receive no money though.

I'm gonna be there tonight if I can sober up enough from the party I am going to in Temple Terrace. I have to run the gauntlet of DUI checkpoints. New Years Eve and Halloween are always off the chain at THR. Is the BBJ still huge?

Good luck tonight, you will need it big time playing against a bunch of drunken ******s and once a year playing donks.

Nothing in print yet on the new January promo but it looks like you have to play 20 hours between sunday and wednesday tourney time.
I think some of the wed. deepstack tourneys are 12:30pm and some are 7:30pm so if you want to play that week then those are the cutoff times.

Also it looks like you can qualify each week, so you could get up to 4 deepstack $240 free entrys.

Sounds like a solid promo. $10+/hr in comps basically for that time period

Any more Harrington sightings?

Very very nice. There was talk about whether or not they'd continue the freerolls after the WPT one. Glad to see they're rewarding their valuable sucke......errrr........customers.

Yea the Jan. 9th tourney I qualified will be crazy to make the final table.
Blinds will be Huge.
I talked to someone in the Christmas eve tourney that chopped 78 ways for $1200 each and he said blinds were 3k/6k even with 78 players so you could only image when it gets down to 20-30 players how ridiculas it will be.

At least you can win a free seat to a decent tourney. 6500 chips and 25 min. blinds in January.

tried to get on his 5/10 table last night.
Get originally sent there by the guy calling names in the front.
Then the dumbass floor lady tells me that I'm not going there and I'm going to a different table, because there is a must move. (Even though the floor guy told me maybe 5 minutes earlier that there was no must move game.)

It seems all i do on here anymore is bitch about the hard rock, which isn't a good thing.

If we could convince all the fish at hard rock to play elsewhere, (silks, derby). it would make tampa poker so much more enjoyable.

cliff notes::

i hate u tampa hard rock. quit employing your floor people from walmart.

LOL

The 5/10 looked juicy as hell. The table behind me last night had several 3-5k stacks and one guy with $15k in play. He won his money by tripling up with 10-4 of clubs

Can you guys tell me how to avoid some of the sketchiness of THR? I.e. where to park/where the security guards are/which doors to use?
I'll be playing some 1/2 the next few weeks, I'll be the ******* blonde guy with the snowman card protector. Code word 'Sup Bro'

There is no sketchiness at Tampa Hard Rock. I like the south garage off of orient. just shoot up to the 5th floor and there will be parking. If not then go to 6th.

You could valet but that is like $4 + tip.

I would say that the place is not sketchy at all. However, I was followed out one night. Made a thread about it a couple months ago. My alertness and protocol saved me from being mugged/robbed/killed.

Park in the SOUTH parking garage. This allows you to exit via an escalator from which you can see behind you pretty far back, you can see the whole gambling floor and if anyone is following you, you can turn around at the top and go find security. Or use the valet. On weekends, Security is posted at the South Garage entrance too until like 5am.

I use the South Garage too. Haven't had anyone following me yet.

Anyone play New Years Eve? Yes, I am one of the amateurs who got there at 930 and drove around for 45 minutes without being able to find a spot and then just said Screw it and drove to a friends in Orlando. How as the action? They need to open the fairgrounds or something for parking on big holidays like that, it was an absolute cluster trying to get a spot.

Thanks for the advice, pretty sure I read that thread-hence me asking about it here.

I wouldnt attempt to go today. I would imagine little to no parking available and super long lists in the poker room.
