Just saw an article about Seminole tribe of florida wanting to open up a 200 room hotel casino on the AC boardwalk, as 200 rooms is min. for casino.
That should be interesting. lol

It will be easier to pot control with be sizing since SPR's will be better utilized especially when their is a must move feeder game and stacks are 300 bb+. Planning hands around commitment bcomes very important because of effective stack sizes; Whereas the 2/5 game usually allows you 3 pot size bets maximum and you are all in. Most of the time players in2/5 do not fold because it isn't mathematically optimal to fold and heros don't see that before barreling with air etc..
Someone has too much poker on his mind all the time.

I play by feel.

Nice score on the $9100.

Qualifying for the 100k freeroll on Dec. 24th is over.
There is a new freeroll for the 1st 391 players to get 50 hours in December:

Make the final table and win a 10k WPT Biloxi seat with $2500 cash for Jan-23-27.
That freeroll will be Jan. 9th 2011.
Then make the final 6 of the WPT so you can here Mike and Vince saying how you qualified for $0 on a freeroll in Tampa, FL.

Any update on the new poker room? Opening date?

Hopefully more space between tables!

Asked one of the floors last week and he said by the new year, with a slight chance it'd be done by Christmas.

And it would be physically impossible to have less room between tables.

Also, having the air be somewhere north of 40 degrees would be nice (but that's just me and my whole "like to be able to feel my extremeties" hang up).

I heard it will be more like Dec. 15th for opening, and It is supposed to have same amount of tables but more room between the tables.
Also bigger TV's. Who knows what the temperature might be, It is just a big aluminum shed.

So will there be two (2) poker rooms at the HR?
If so, will one room be for MTT/SNGs and the other one Cash games?

Or will they close the current room and just have the new room open?

seriously? from what i remember of the hard rock they always have a good sized list on weeknights / weekends... fairly sure they could sustain more tables... whats the point of the new room then?

Yea there is a list from time to time but all the tables are not full. They are short of dealers right now and sometimes 1/2nl has 20 names on list and they dont open a table because not enough dealers.

In my experience at THR you don't know what you'll get temp-wise. sometimes it is a meat locker, other times on the warmer side. Often seems to be a function of which table you are at. Back tables considerably colder than front, and back right particularly icey. Do wish they'd get consistent about it so I could plan better.

Just bring a jacket or hoodie every time and your covered. When its comfortable then you dont need the jacket but most times you will.

It's got a list because they dont have enough dealers, it's been pretty rare to have all 50 tables filled. I also heard 12/15 which is a Wednesday as the opening day for the new room. Back pre-blackjack, the 1/2 list would be 60 deep on the weekends and 2/5 sometimes 40 deep with all tables filled.
