Without competition they can make the rules that favor the house. Same reason they won't tell you the slot payouts - they are unregulated. You can thank the whores who make up our politicians for selling out for a brown paper bag full of cash. If it weren't for them, gambling would be legal, on line poker would be legal, and we would have competition and better deals, better comps, etc.

To me this is still a very fun place to play. Fun games and not too many horses behinds. I do think their slots are horrible though. Every time I wait for a table, I seem to be $20 in the hole from the slots. I need to learn to just hang out in the lobby

Scott

I played 4 hours last Tue. When I went in on Thur to check my hours it showed 11 minutes. I spoke to a "supervisor" who said he could not add the time although I believe he recognized that I never played for 11 minutes before. According to the supervisor he took my card number and "sent it up". What exactly does "sending it up" entail? Also I'd like to get my 4 hours - can you tell me who I can speak to since all the other supervisors shrug their shoulders when I ask them what I can do. Thanks.

Scott,

just my 2 cents on promos:

like the gas card promo, timed based promotions that keep butts in seats are good for all(players, dealers, poker room). I do not think the high hand promotion is really doing much to build sales. I actually think the Bad Beat in an adjusted form would be better.

Build to 50k as currently doing, then add 1k per day with no cap. Drop the requirement to any quads beaten and change the split to either 40% or 50% as table share. This would allow it to be hit more often and spread the money among more players.Limit holdem should have there own jackpot similar to omaha.Should still allow for some other promotion monthly.Jackpots build energy and excitement that high hands do not.

we have two functional rooms in minneapolis saint paul, and no beaches most of the year, rake and tourney fees are much better. its not the competition, its the management knowing how to make $$$ by filling seats with active players

So today I've managed to be playing for 2 hours with my name not in the system. Not even as guest. I handed the dude my card when I got here. This is great for the promotion this month....

Not to mention another dealer complaining when I switch seats at the table, complaining when I got up from the table to use the restroom and literally cussing under their breath their entire down.

Talked to Scott regarding above scenario, says no one has access to make the changes anymore. Fair enough.

When is everyone playing the big slick? I'm thinking either Friday night/ Saturday morning would be te weakest field? Anyone have a different opinion?

The little slick is the $125? Is there another one that is bigger? Don't see anything on the calendar that has the big slick name.

Yes the little big slick. I wanted to know when most people are playing. I have a friend who prefers the week nights, he claims the players are not as good. But, I would think that a Friday/ Saturday tournament would draw more drunks/ recreational players?

Scott - is there a forum rule that you can't post links to the specific web page when answering a question?

I think it would be more helpful if you posted specific links or even cut/paste info for HR website instead of answering "It's on the website"

You gotta make some poker friends so you can just crash at their place and vice versa (esp. in Florida)

Was wondering if you make day two, can you still play in day1 flights to go for a bigger stack?

Unless they pay 2+2 as an advertiser, poker room reps are only allowed to answer direct questions and not allowed to post links to their site, promotions, etc.
