For the record, I will play a mix game as well if we get enough interest. And I've never played stud other than the 1-5 game with the Civil War veterans, nor limit hold em other than 2/4, nor have I ever played razz at all, so come take my money. I'm willing to pay to learn!

I'll try to organize, anyone who will actually come and play in a 10/20 HORSE game PM me, if we get 12-15 I will then try to hash out a Saturday that everyone can go in maybe early afternoon and we can fill a table up quick and get it going then run into the evening.

Saturday is about the only bad night for me, but if it's the consensus choice, I can probably do it.

I just said a Sat. since the Tues. and Fri. are O8 nights at this point, those are actually the best two days for me. I know some people used to drive pretty far for the HORSE at Silks so I figure Sat. would be more free then like a Mon. or Wed.

As well the room is probably busiest at that point, so more random drop ins? Though I really think the few random drop ins will probably get destroyed too fast for it to help the game much, if they are just NL people.

I understand everyone thinks they're the big (poop) when it comes to stud 8 apparently, but am I missing something thinking that a 10/20 HOSE HORSE SHOE OH HOE EIEIO wtfever it is called full of 2+2 er's is not going to be that good a game, or is it more for the enjoyment rather than the profitability? Serious question.

Obv enjoyability. The last time a 10/20 limit game was worth playing, for a living at least, was in the 90's. I am sure most players will buy in for <$500

Great, the only other guy that probably learned how to play all the other games before hold'em. There goes my profitability.

Let me know when you get the game off the ground. I won't play it, but will enjoy standing nearby watching the THR dealers' heads explode trying to handle anything other than Omaha and Hold 'em. Should be great fun !

As mentioned, I'd be playing for the education. Then again, in my poker experience, the new guy who doesn't know what the hell he's doing tends to win every time, so watch out!

Not yet. I have 6 PMs so far. Maybe try it in a few weeks, I considered going yesterday and just putting it up to see if anyone would sign up, but I wasn't desperate enough to go play NL.

Im always down for 10/20 HL, should come tomorrow since it is the 5k for royal and see if it runs. I know last Monday we only had enough people to play either 1/2 plo or 10/20 hl. I will be there before noon and start a list.

I promise to play badly, including thinking we are playing stud 8 when we're really playing stud. Not that I've ever done THAT before...

easy fold in a 2-5 game. easy call in a 5-10.

least friendly card room I have ever been in hands down. Management are jerks. Many dealers are jerks. One dealer has dementia (literally not just cracking on him). i suppose that means someone there has a good heart to let him carry on working but overall I fail to see how they get anyone to come back.

My whole gambling habit started in large part because I was welcomed by a very cool blackjack dealer the first time I ever gambled. Had that dealer instead been any one of the many jerkoffs working at this hardrock I would NEVER have come back to a casino. Maybe there is a rough crowd in there and they have to treat everyone as a possible threat/confrontation. I mean there has to be some explanation for the employee attitudes in there.

I go to cashout. "Hi how are you" I say to the cashier. He says nothing, grabs my checks, then sarcastically says "have a great night" when I stiff him. some infestation has got in there and crawled up everyones ass in this place.

If you want a friend, get a dog. If you want to play poker, the THR is OK.

My main problem with the dealers at THR is that some are incompetent, or spend too much time BS'ing with regs instead of managing the play and enforcing the rules. I have no interest in making friends with casino employees during a game, although I am always polite and professional with them (as I expect them to be with me). I tip dealers at least as good as the average player, but I don't usually tip cashiers at the cage unless I win really big. I don't tip cashiers at the bank either.

This. This place is by far the rudest place I have ever been to, and I have been there on many occasions. The staff from the dealers, to the cashiers, to the mangers are all extremely rude. I'm not looking for a new best friend when I walk into this place, just some common courtesy and respect from the employees.
