Is anyone entering the Little Slick poker series this week? Do you know if it usually draws a large crowd?

Yeh look for 1k-1,200 imo. #'s have been going down from initial tournies that were really a first for that room. The last one I played in February was $150 100k Deeptack which is essentially same tourney as the "Little Slick" with the day1s. Just slightly different structure. That had a little over 1,100 entries.

NOTE: I have permission from the mods to x-post this here, but any response or discussion about it should be done only in the related thread in Poker Legislation:

Internet Poker in Florida - working on new bill for 2016
I have written a draft legislative bill to license & regulate Internet poker in Florida (see THIS THREAD for more details).

Now just a week or two away from starting action plans to get the draft bill introduced for the 2016 Florida legislative session. Here is the overall plan:

Quote:
1. Identify Florida legislators who will support the bill:
  • Social media and email campaign for tweets, facebook posts & emails from Florida players.
2. Rally support from licensed cardrooms for the bill:
  • Direct contact with cardroom managers, providing them with cover letter and copy of the bill draft.
3. Get commitments from Florida legislators to sponsor/co-sponsor the bill:
  • Direct contact through phone calls and visits.
4. After bill is introduced, get legislators, cardrooms and poker network providers to support and vote for the bill:
  • Social media and email campaign.
Steps 1. & 2. will run concurrently as the first campaign, starting in May.

I'm looking now to line up volunteers to help with this project. PM me with your contact info to volunteer to help run the social media campaigns on twitter, facebook & emails. [ni9n3r has already been helping with the Twitter account - thanks! - and can use some help.]

If you can help out with direct contact with any of the cardrooms in Florida, PM me.

If you are a Florida player willing to participate in the campaigns, then follow & like our twitter & facebook (see our web site: http://www.iPokerFlorida.com )

If you already have connections to any Florida legislators and can work on step 3. now, PM me. May also need other volunteers later for this step.

Step 4. will take everyone's participation, once the bill is introduced in early 2016.

Yeh just saw that. Looks pretty good. Glad to see better turnout than last 100k series. Could be deeptack vs little slicks starting stacks. More gamble early & possible quick exits resulting in more re-entries. 1500+ would be awesome. Hope I can play with my schedule this weekend.

But they also just posted May Spring Series on Twitter.

May 7th-17th. $350 200k, $150 100k, & $560 250k

had 119 entries in the day 1E today at 3pm. I just busted in 23rd place. There was about 45 minutes left before they were breaking for Day 2.

My exit: Blinds 1K/2K with 300 ante. Guy raised to 4K and I shoved for around 30-35K with AK and he called with AQ and flopped the Q right away.

The Deep Stack Series is good.I wish they would up the Guarantees to 300k on the $350 and $400k on the $560.

Yeah while back they used to be bigger, like summer 560 500k or something, but I'm assuming after Hollywood Got smashed with the 10 milli they're keeping the Gtd smaller except for special series and whatnot. But Idk.

So I screwed up my first bag and tag and realized it after I left. The floor mentioned counting in stacks of 10 and I was a newb and counted stacks of 1K chips in 20 stacks. I had 3 of those so instead of putting down 140,000 I put 110,000 (I entered today's 3 PM flight,1E)

Like I said, that was my first time getting to a second day of an event. Will anything substantial happen due to my screw up?

No.Your total will just be listed on paper at 110k,but this will not cause you any issues. You could just call the poker room and ask for a supervisor and they will/should correct it on paper for you.

Some places trip about this, but the rock, especially when it isn't some major event, doesn't. Don't stress it. Fwiw, Idk you, but I think of you as less of a fish noob for not counting in stacks of ten lol.

Where exactly do I find the schedule? I looked on Twitter, and all I saw were two vague mentions of it. Didn't see the tourneys listed anywhere (not even the ones you mentioned), or a link. Thanks.

Guy at my table flopped a royal to win $1,000 and on the last high hand of the night I managed to flop AAAJJ playing O8 AND it held up for a $500 score.

For anyone interested, this Saturday around 6pm we've got a group who will be getting a 10/20 Omaha hi/lo game running with a half-kill to 15/30

We already have enough interest to make a full game, but hey, maybe we can get two tables going?

The night that players selected to get a game running that never runs is the night of the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight? Not saying it's like the Super Bowl or anything, but it certainly can't help. Good luck though. I'd love for the game to run, and hopefully get some legs to run more in the near future.

Yup, I'm aware. Although the players who were giving their names for the game didn't seem to mind about it being the fight night, except for one guy who'll be out.

But it appears the goal is to try and start the 10/20 half-kill and then keep it going as a regular occurrence. So far it looks like there's enough interest, guess we'll see how it pans out.

They were talking about getting the game all the way in the back, where they put the PLO and you can eat at the table.

Wish I could make it. We used to play in the back when that game ran regularly, but that was before there was as much 5/10 NL and PLO action going on. But hey, if they give it to you, good times.

No worries man, I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes Saturday and if we're able to keep it running.

Are those tables in the back the ones with built-in usb charging stations? I thought I read something about that in the past but haven't been back there to check.

Yeah they have built in chargers, as well as a couple randomly scattered tables across the front of the room as well, like table 4 and 13 have em too I think

Nearly every floorman here is ridiculously incompetent. Actually, this is an understatement.

A week ago in a 2/5 game I am facing a $250 donk bet on the river holding KK on a Q77-J-6 board. I say "I can't fold this" and cut out 10 green chips which I start shuffling. The whale flips up 72s because he thought I announced "call." Everyone else at the table including the dealer clearly heard me say "I can't fold this." The floor gets called over and rules that because I led him to believe it is a call I have to pay it off, despite there being no forward motion.

Last month in a 5/5 PLO game I am first up on the must move list. After a new dealer sits down I play one hand after paying my share of the time rake. A spot opens so I am forced to move to the main game but the dealer refuses to give me my time back and actually calls the floor over. Floor states that "once the money goes in, it can't come back out." When I sit down at the main game I am forced to pay time rake again!
