2-3 w/5 to open on Monday's at 4pm for now. The Saturday game was built around out of towners, if there's interest CR will spread it.

1. Was CR not making enough money?

2. Do anyone think there are enough players in Sac to have a PLO game in a long term basis?

3. If so, what should the structure be (blinds, buy in, rake, etc.)?

4. What was the compensation for "hosting" at Casino Royale?

5. Is a host necessary or could a regular scheduled game be held (say once or twice a week) by advertising and word of mouth?

6. Which place should the new game be held?

Here is what I think:

1. Don't know. Maybe someone here has some insight.

2. I am assuming a lot of the players in the Casino Royale game were from Napa (which may or may not be the majority). Also, IIRC from earlier posts games had be attempted to run at the Phoenix and Lucky Derby (and maybe even Thunder Valley) So there may be enough momentum to sustain a game once or twice a week in Sac.

3. This is probably critical to get nurture some new players. There is no doubt PLO is a fun game to play. I will expand on my thoughts on this later.

4. Don't know. Maybe someone here has some insight.

5. The only way is to try it out.

6. There should be at least 1 casino that is nice, easy to get to, and hungry for new business (Cordova perhaps)?

I have an extra seat to the CR monthly $220 on 8/5. I either want to sell it or put someone in 80/20. PM me offers.

If on the weekend, TV might be your best bet. Cap has 5-10 most nights & CR spreads 2-5 on Tuesday & Wednesday, it's table max, 1k max to start & plays more like a 5-10.

6. Momentum is important. CR wants to spread it Monday (2-3, 5 to open $7 time rake every half hour) & Thursday (1-2 $4 max rake). If anyone has any idea when others spread PLO, feel free to post, I've only played at CR recently & Pheonix months ago.

I think you're talking about the "Tournament of Champions." It's a tournament on August 25th at 11am for the top 60 point earners. Point collection started in April and ends August 19th. The top 20 point earners get bonus chips. Players will be playing for a $10,000 prize pool, a trip to Vegas with a $500 Venetian buy in with a two night stay on the Strip and a trophy! Points are posted at the front podium at CR.

How's the 5-10 game been? What's the buy in?
