Hey all. I'm looking for roomate(s) up in the Sac area. Posted here but haven't had any luck. Mods said OK but I hope no one is upset that I post it here also. Drop me a PM if you might be interested in renting a house in Sac area. Would absolutely love to live with fellow grinders. Here are my stats fwiw. hope to find something soon.

Are you then planning to move to Sacramento from the Bay area? Have you been playing here on visits? I don't have a room for rent but will probably be moving downtown myself into a studio in a week. Rent is about $1000 for a nicer studio up here. From a poker point of view the another option is Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln so that you can play at Thunder Valley without commuting the 20+miles from downtown. Capitol Casino is downtown and has regular 1/3 and 2/5 games (maybe 5/10 also) but most people prefer TV these days from what I gather.

Yeah that's where I am now; the bay. I have played a little bit at capitol and I think one called poker royal. I liked them both a lot.

For the time being though, I would still be playing 90% online (on merge for as long as that lasts). Really, I just like the idea of living with other poker players and I think the ultimate scenario would be to make / join a grindhouse with multiple people somewhere.

How is the cardroom at thunder valley?

Man too bad you weren't looking a few weeks ago, since I had a room open here in the house. We live just under a mile from lucky derby, so I play a decent amount of tournaments there and it's pretty much between capitol and tv. We have 4 bedrooms so if anything opens up I can keep ya in mind.

Does anybody here play at Folsom Lake Bowl at all? Any advice on when the best days/times to play are or when (if ever) they run 2/5 or higher?

It's 1/3. I'm not sure on the min but I believe the max is $300.

I think I saw someone buy in for $60 once. When I play, which is at the beginning of the day, many buy in for $100 to $120 or so. Very few buy in for the $300 max.

Probably coincidental but this thread has died since it moved to this forum.

I've noticed this as well, so I'll ask a question..

How is the phoenix card room? Never been there, but was thinking of trying out some of their promos.

. I was wondering where the informative brick and mortor threads had gone. I just now noticed the regional link. Not so sure about this change. Seems to be a graveyard type section.

Has the 5-10 game at TV been going lately?

5-10 at TV goes sparingly. It went last night but broke quickly. It's been running often at Cap.

Err, no I meant better.

Better structure, less rake, and the players are a bit worse.

are you talking tournaments or cash games? The tournaments are way better in Reno than sac and it isn't close- we have no casinos that focus on tournaments here. I would imagine the cash game action is better here though especially if there aren't tournaments running in reno at that time.

I need to work on specifics, hah

I was talking about the 1/2 NLHE games. I didn't touch MTT's while I was there.

oh ok, you mentioned structure how is a 1/2 game better structured than another 1/2 game? You mean buyin limits or just the price of rake?
