For those who weren't aware, both Thunder and Royale have been spreading PLO of late. Royale is a 1/2/3 blind 5 to enter table stake game with a time rake instead of drop. game hosted by the same guys who apparently hosted the Napa valley casino identical game and i'm pretty sure they say it's gonna run on saturdays and mondays. Thunder's 1/3 is 100bb max buy and 5-5(which hasn't gotten spread yet) is 100 bb min 200 bb max, i believe.

If you play these games, do your best to keep up with the pot size to speed the game at TV. Dealers are very green.

I went to TV recently after a six month absence (I'm from the bay area so it's not exactly easy for me to get to TV). What happened to all the good dealers? The new dealers are all extremely slow.

How many get in the $60 deepstack on saturdays and sunday mornings at Royale? And the $220 seat taken out of the prizepool in general or just the 1st place money?

I thought the seat was added. Read on Facebook today's 2000 garauntee only had 1000 worth of buy ins... Any truth to this?

The seat is added to the prizepool by the casino.

I haven't played in any of the weekend deepstacks but I'm guessing around 40 or 50 entries.

Jerry - that sure would be good to know if they are overlaying a grand!

the best TV dealers move on where they don't pool tips with pit dealers.

Just to clarify, the $220 seat is added to the prize pool Monday-Thursday by the Casino and taken from the prize pool on Friday-Sunday. Friday-Sunday is a $2000 guaranteed prize pool so the overlay depends on the number of entries. There have been roughly 40-50 players lately on the Friday-Sunday DeepStack. Also there is a $220 seat attached to the Saturday 6pm $1000 added tournament too! I've been shocked that there has only been about 40 players for that one considering all the dead money in the prize pool!

The game at CR PLO might as well be $5/$10 given that:

1. Most people have couple of G's or more in front of them.

2. Every pot seemed to be raised PF and there is a high frequency of 3 bets.

3. Some $10 straddles.

It's definitely no a stake to attract new players. Maybe the host wants it that way.

The game in TV is $1/$3 with BI of $50 to $300. It probably only runs a few hours a week and only if there are 15 NL tables going before you can get enough players to start one.

CR PLO games opens at $100 to $500 buy-in, 1/2/3 blinds, 5 open, 10 to straddle. Afterward, one may purchase up to chip leader. It has been playing VERY big later in the evening, with several players with $3,000+. Free dinner and $100 "rakeback" every 6 continuous hours of play. Time is $7 per dealer push for a full game. Most definitely a game NOT for newbs. I hope the game is not self defeating due to the largess bankroll requirements. Should gain a good foothold after WSOP is completed.

Not sure why the blinds are structured this way ($1/$2/$3). Usually it is $1/$2 when you have a $5 bring in. Because it is a time rake you don't need extra money each pot for the drop. The $3 extra per round makes the game more expensive and is detrimental to keep the session going for as long as it can. Basically I don't think the host intend to nurture any new players.

$100 rake back for 6 hours is more than the $14/hr rake? Does that make sense?

sac casinos really need to run it twice, games would last much longer, i was told that in order to run it twice a license was required, asked multiple floor personnel here in vegas and they said no such license was required

fwiw was able to get a plo game running when i lived in the bay area at garden city and they ran it twice

having a third blind makes absolutely no sense, 6 hour $100 sounds nice, although phoenix was doing $50 for 2 hours if you started the game which was also cool

Yes, the $1 on the button is a bit of a mystery to me; never really liked non-ante games with button blinds. The host ran this same game at Napa Valley for a while and apparently was successful. The rakeback might be more than the time charge, but what percentage of players actually make the required 6 hours, and will the game last 6 hours? CR is probably breaking close to even on this particular game at the moment in a rake vs. promo light.

Oh and worrying about an extra $3 per round is rather nitty when the game is slow and players are sitting on thousands? But I still don't like button blinds...

It's not the matter of being nitty. It is about the proper structure. As NCJ said, the $3 blind makes no sense. Either make it $1/$2 with a $5 bring in or $2/$5.

really don't see what the big deal is about it being 1/3 if that was what they choose to make it. the button 1 seems pretty pointless though without dropping for the jackpot.

also it playing so big makes it intimidating i'm sure, but it also makes it a much better game with plenty more action which in some ways definitely benefits a capable new player.

CR is indeed letting you run it twice also.

jack i would not be playing at any of those casinos if i was u.i live in lodi as well and delta is super shady..ex.playing a 5k there and its a rebuy and this girl is clearly dumping chips to her friend..no big right she has to rebuy right??no they give her a few double stack rebuys without her paying for it,when i call the floor and tell her this is taking money away from the prize pool and its cheating etc she tells me its ok cause they loose money the 5k,lol so ya wouldnt wanna play there fer sure.cameo club has only 3-6 game as far as i know, they use to run a really juice 3-5 game a few years back but it runs little to never.lodi wine country is a pretty big joke as well 3-6 and 4-8 mostly maybe a 2-5 evrey now and then.id stick to sacramento cardrooms, thunder valley, bay area cardrooms(lc,bay 101).
