If I go, I will leave Saturday morning and most likely head back either Saturday night or Sunday morning/early afternoon. We might be able to work something out.
Cool let me know.

Yes it's 8 day 1's and day 2 is on sunday. Top 5% of each day 1 move onto day 2.

It would be really nice if the cut the POG's down to just 2 per year instead of trying to fill 4 dead series per year with gimmicks and such. Spring POG right before WSOP and Fall POG right after WSOP is the way to do it.

Is it an actual 100k guarentee ? They need 800 runners to cover that guarentee. Or is it one of those 100k guarentess*(based on 800 players) type gimmick.

120$ buy in + 20$ fee+10$ dealer add on gets you 5k in chips, 100$ add on gets you 5k Inchips so its 250$ for 12k in chips. 10% of field gets paid 5% makes day 2

If you guys are talking about how awesome 4-8 Omaha H/L is, you might be in the wrong place.

I hope I'm not jinxing myself but I qualified for Sunday. There were 165 runners yesterday, top 9 got tickets, 10-17 got $450. I squeaked through as the 2nd short stack because some people plainly do not understand ICM at all.

I have 112k and we're starting out at 1500/3000. I think there are about 30 or 35 players. I like my chances as I went really deep in the Friday nooner as well. I've been working really hard on my tournament game.

No idea what the payouts are like, if we're in the money yet or if there's an overlay. I will let you know. If anyone is still in town stop by and wish me luck. I'm wearing a light brown Lockdown Brewing Company ballcap.

Had my first ever Open Face Chinese Poker game yesterday. Pretty fun to play. Because everyone was new we kept the stakes low ($0.50 a point.)

One guy hit TTx, 2 pair, and boat to scoop (17 pts. from each opponent). Then he hit pair, straight, and flush to scoop another one.

I went out in 12th. Cashed for $1947. I misplayed a hand. Badly. I let an old guy get in my head.

I just doubled with KK on the button and had over 500k. Blinds were 10k/20k and a TAG-ish older guy on my right limps in from the small blind. I checked with 7-8 offsuit. The flop came J-7-x and he immediately overbet 100k. This is where I really screwed up. I interpreted the overbet as weakness and min-raised him. He immediately shoved and I was getting over 3:1.

I started to think and gets up and starts saying how I have to call. Over and over. I said "one player to a hand, right?" and he wouldn't shut up and let me think. He kept going back and forth and I was talking to him trying to get a read that would let me fold and he just kept yammering on and on.

Then he called the clock on me after about a minute and a half.

I finally ended up calling and he had queens. And I kicked myself the whole way home.

Oh that was you. I was sitting 2 to your left at the table. That was a tuff spot. He could of had nothing there. That older gentleman was annoying at times.

OK, I remember you. You have the scar on the right side of your head? I did not catch your name.

Yes he was annoying. He was at my final table the night before when I qualified and he was using his stack to abuse the bubble. Early Saturday he shipped all-in with about 2k with K-4. I had K-K then and busted him out.

I honestly should have known better. I should have just folded the flop bet and waited for a much better spot. Especially after I doubled up a few hands earlier I really feel like I could have cruised to the FT and placed much higher.

I couldn't believe he called the clock on me. It was clearly a difficult decision in a big pot blind vs. blind. I've never called the clock on someone I'm in the hand with. I just think it's classless.

How did you end up doing?

Yea you coulda just cruised to the final table but we play to win and you were trying to exploit his weakness after overbetting the flop as you say. The re-raise was fine in that spot but when he re-popped you all in i dont think your ahead in that spot very often.

And yes the clock incident was classless. Called time on you after 2 minutes facing a all in decision at the near end of a tournament. In hindsight he was just trying to get in your head but as you say there is a certain code of ethics to follow.

Yes, i was the one with the scar. We were 7 handed blinds were 30k/60k with 10k ante and most of us had 500-800k so it was a shove fest. Chip leader had over 3M so we gave him 20k and 6 way chopped 9300. When the final table started i doubled up to 1.4 million and was chip leader but then went card dead. The entire FT was pretty much open for 4x or shove. The structure towards the end was pretty horrific but i dont expect too much from a $120 reno event either.

I watched that. Couldn't figure out what you were thinking. I thought he must think you had a jack and shoved anyway. He had to have AJ or better.

Without any sarcasm at all, what was I thinking when I raised his flop bet or when I called getting almost 3.3:1?
