Sigh, I am talking about location. The space where Parx is is another slot in a long line of strip malls up and down the street. ie it is very safe.

I've already said (multiple times) that, in the case as it was originally described, I wouldn't refund any money for a missing card on the previous hand, because the rules as I understand them don't support that.
My bad- I lost your change of situation in all of the posts. carry on....

After the floor makes a decision, can a player request to see it in writing? I imagine that there is a rule book that Parx follows that should cover this situation, correct??

Are there any 15/30 limit players on board?

That is the sickest game in town.

Would make great TV!

oh, and watch the 1st base and 3rd base coach signals

Just curious if there are any Stud players or if a 15/30+ has ever been attempted?

The typical crowd that plays it in AC doesn't post here though

I think Stud has only gone off once or twice at Parx in 2010.

Thursday night - any interest for some sort of 8/16 mix game? HOSE, OE, NOPA?

The first rule in every casino poker room I have ever been in is "Floor Decisions are final".

Was told by dealers tonight, dealers are no longer allowed to say phrases like yo 11. What is up with that? Yay for unentertaining dealers....

Was gonna head up there later this afternoon. Been there a few times and probably have around 20-30 hours logged. What's the best use of the comps I've earned? Anyone partial to the bar food? I've heard they have a place downstairs now too? Are the comp dollars 1:1 everywhere?

Hey guys,

Little trip report for my first time at PARX-LONG

Anyway, I received one of those drunk texts from a cute girl to come up to Chickie and Petes and hang out. Now Im basically right in between PARX and AC usually choosing AC because its a straight shot down so its a little quicker but what the hell a cute girl waiting and I didnt have work in the morn I made the 40 min trip over to PARX for the first time.

As for chickie and petes wow thats the craziest chickies I've ever seen. I think the only thing missing was a dance floor and some hoodrats on it. Oh and 6.50 pints of Hoegaarden put a damper on the place. So the whole time Im thinking maybe I could get some action (typical guy in their mid 20's) but think I found my way into that lame friend zone so after pissing away some money on the slots and saying our goodbyes im in Poker mode.

I made that chilly long walk over to the track on the imfamous "smarty jones way" and didnt notice anything to make me uncomfortable. It seemed well lit and safe enough for me on my own. That quickly changed when I arrived at PARX east and noticed a few people sleeping inside down by the escalators. I dont know why, but it certainly rubbed me the wrong way and was thinking to myself what am I getting myself into. Hmm maybe its just a fact you would never see people catching some warmth and sleeping at the Borgata down in AC.

So onto the cards finally- I was quickly seated at full 1-2 table with my measly 200 being one of the smallest stack. There was def some good money at the table which made me a little intimidated. I believe my fourth hand I was dealt kk and got caught up in maybe a 150 all in by unseen trip 5's. UGH I should of felt the table out a little more but was thinking what the hell was there to have some fun really. Keep in mind I play AC about twice a month and manage to turn some extra spending money out of it. But ugh already down 170 or so and im thinking this is going to be an expensive night! I quickly drowned my sorrows with a 1.50 pint of highlife..I now know why its the special..

So i tapped the mac for another 200 and went into ultra tight play hoping for some nuts and managed to grind my way back to about even after an hour and a half of winning some small pots. My big hand came when i was dealt AA In position and the FLOP of A 9 9 Boating me up. I slowed played it and got some action finally to a heads up for about 450 allowing me to take down a nice pot. After this, basically pushed some low stacks around and managed to leave with 1160 after 3 hours of play including my 400 buy in. Ill take it..

As for the dealers, some seemed really rude. I noted after winning a few pots my dollar tip didnt even mustard up a thanks and dropped it into their box like it was expected each and every time. Not one, but two dealers did this. Oh well..just dont expect a nice tip if I hit a nice pot sums my attitude up on that. Most of the dealers were polite and friendly. I noticed a few dealer errors but nothing to get upset about. For example, one dealer tried to chop a pot after one player hit a pair on the river but was quickly corrected by the other players at the table.

In the end, their is def money to be had at PARX if you're a decent player. At least at my table people played topped pair way too much and chased a lot of draws for decent money. I felt like if I was down AC it would of been much more of a grind to walk away with this profit. Hmm maybe it was just my table but it was EASY money if you had a fairly good understanding of the game.

All in all nice place, didn't have a smoke problem, bathrooms were pretty clean, drinks could of been free but not sure that status on that being PA. I did manage to watch my back leaving with that kind of money but never felt worried or unsafe if your smart about it.

The comp dollars are 1:1 everywhere. I would say the bar food is not that great, but some people really seem to like the hot roast beef sandwich. The noodle bar on the first floor is really good and I also like Chickie's in the other building.

Sure would be nice to use comp dollars and turn them into chips, or even tournament buy ins .... I guess I'm just dreaming.....

A lot of the male dealers used little phrases. I don't see the problem.

i will always tip a dealer a buck even if i just steal blinds. in bigger pots, ill tip from $2-$5 sometimes more if its a monster. dealers have to pay bills too. im personally a good tipper, but if someone like you just tipped a dollar everytime, dealers would be on the streets. reach back for a little more if u win a big pot, i believe in karma.

I've always thought this kind of stuff was rather stupid (one of the reasons I never went above $3-6 online), and most likely usually poorly done. Smart people are going to figure out something stinks and start asking pointed questions and/or walk from the game. I play for entertainment, but willing to play any poker game to $10-20 limit, but have no problem taking shots higher. What kind of clown would want to chase the $2-3k I bring to a casino to the blackjack/craps tables for the sake of $100-200 they might get before I figure it out and souring my opinion of a card room?

Are you referring to the 1st and 3rd base signals? Someone trying to infer collusion?

Haven't played it that much, but have never seen anything remotely resembling that.

I have seen softplaying though in HU pots between certain people. Both were bad though and I assume no one has gotten on their case because of this.

Regarding chopped pots though, I think it's slightly poor form to not give the dealer anything.

If there is an extra chip awarded to one of the players, he/she should handle the tip imo
