I can say the complete opposite for me. Although they have made changes who is flooring, they still do a good job. My only suggestion is for them to be more observant on players who sneakily sit at a table they are not suppose to.

This could be home field bias but the Parx floor is nicer and more accommodating than any other floor I've dealt with, both in the high limit area and the lower stakes podiums.

Not a big fan of Parx floor personnel either. Always act like you're bothering them whenever you ask a question.

too close together, it will just cause issue with both games.

They need to protect a game that is a moneymaker and almost constantly going for them. You can have 3 games going, try to start an 8/16 game, get 2 or 3 people out of each game, piss off the 6 people that have to move, and break one, maybe two of the 6/12s to start a game that will only go for a a few hours.

10/20 is the way to go, it's a big enough jump to get both games, and draw a couple 15/30 players over.

parx floor is 90% awesome, some of the dual rates get a little passive about enforcing the rules, but the full time floors are really good imo. That said 15/30 runs itself so it's easier for me to say.

Spend a weekend @Borgata. A less douchey floor is one thing Parx has over them and it's not close.

I always felt that the floor people at parx are arrogant. Borgata has better floor people, ainec imho.

And they still make you pay for drinks??! Cheap bastards.

According to Philly Gambles, in February, Parx’s poker room generated $1.53 million in revenue, besting rival Borgata, which generated $1.42 million. The two have been neck-and-neck for the better part of a year, with Borgata always edging out Parx, and this is the first time ever that the Bensalem-based casino finished a month in the top spot.

Parx > Borgata

Parx > Borgata
The thing I don't understand about the drinks is how expensive they are! If you wanna charge for drinks, fine. But make it a dollar per beer or something then...$4.50 for that stuff is insane. I rarely drink while I play but I have a beer or two when I'm in AC. That's not even a thought when I'm at Parx. For a more casual player that kind of thing makes a difference. If you're gonna add a BBJ for the sake of the casual player then add free drinks for the same reason.

for the 10100th time, the tax is like 35% for poker vs like 8% in nj. So while they made more they certainly didn't profit more.

If you want free drink you're gonna have to get the property owners of pa to give back their tax breaks.

Thanks in advance...

Before you decide to be condescending make sure you no what you are talking about because it makes you look really dumb. It is not close to 35%, much less. It's slots that get taxed hard in PA, not poker.

I am not defending Parx here because I obviously think they should have cheaper/free drinks but that logic is absurd. Businesses don't make decisions in such a compartmentalized way.

Changes in one part of a business will affect other parts. When you attack one revenue stream a business may decide to create or bolster another.

explain why harrah's chester can give free drinks to people play 5/10+ limit and 2/5 NL then.

At parx right now. I understand its late night but the bathroom is awful. Piss everywhere coffee everywhere. I'm no diva but I shouldn't have to clean piss all over so I can use the bathroom. I love parx but this is an issue I've seen many times.

Why does everyone constantly ***** and moan about Parx participating in free market economics?

People ***** about not having immediate access to empty chip racks in the Borgata thread. It's a good sign. It means that they've run out of real problems to complain about. (Although the bathroom thing, if it's not an exaggeration, is a real problem and should be addressed.)

I still haven't made it to Parx to play, but between the lack of substantial complaints and the good mix of regular games offered I look forward to the opportunity when it arises.

If something is that disgusting or wrong, why wouldn't you alert the desk person/shift manager on duty instead of posting it here immediately? I doubt anyone in Parx's mgt is surfing 2+2 at 5am looking for complaints. It's prolly likely to get taken care of quicker if you mention it as it happens, then if it doesnt get taken care of in a timely matter, at least you can hold someone accountable for not reporting it at the time it happens.

I did tell them... I'm just also informing those that are from 2+2 that also go to parx. Out of the I believe 10? toilets in the men's room only one was actually clean inside the stall but the toilet still needed to be wiped down. I promise that this wasn't some prissy exaggeration it wasn't the standard bathroom isssues. So just informing the 2+2 crowd to be on the lookout

Sorry it wasn't meant to be condescending, and obviously I want them to give free drinks! Fwiw, your post isn't particularly polite either, two wrongs and all that stuff?

You're right about table games specifically, but that doesn't paint the whole picture. The total profit of Parx VS borgata is considerably different.I couldn't find an article on how table games are taxed in NJ, but 14% is at least 5% higher than nj if i'm not mistaken.

i'm sure that's a factor, maybe a small one, in the why they choose not to give alcohol away in the poker area. Handing out a couple thousand dollars in booze when it's not hurting their bottom line is a wise choice.

Harrah's as a company directive does? Perhaps harrha's philly feels to compete with parx/delpark et all it needs to?

Parx as best I can tell is an individually owned company, might need to eek out that little bit more profit?

If it bothers you the best thing you can do is mention it to the poker room director at parx and take your play to harrah's.

Gotcha. Hopefully they cleaned it in a timely manner. If not, post away and post the shift managers name who you reported it to and didnt get it done.

I understand the reasoning, but posting the shift manager's name would be a violation of 2+2 rules and would certainly get removed.

didnt actually mean his/her name, but a description of the person you spoke to and time and it would of sent the message across that this person didnt do anything to rectify the situation.

Giving a description violates the same rule. The point is to not identify a specific individual.
