Parx has as good a variety of available games as anywhere that I know of, if not better than anything including most of AC/Vegas. I have noticed that PLO is a little slow to get off though, which is somewhat surprising. But, limit 08 is playing there early most days, though lower level @ 4/8. There really aren't good choices for mixed poker in our area. Not even AC's Borgata gets a steady PLO game going. Lots of guys want to play it and I've seen a few coordinate it at Parx with 2/5 HE and PLO mix. I keep saying that this room will rule the eatsern seaboard one day.

I've found that 2 plus 2 is a great place to coordinate mixed games.... I do it rather often myself and have a contact list of people interested in something other than hold em.

New Jersey does not approve 2-7 TD either. You can't find that game running on it's own anywhere that I know of. Not at Foxwoods...not in AC.... and nowhere in PA. It is approved only at Delaware Park locally, but does not run as a single game. Only on weekends, very sporadically in a 5 to 9 game mix at lower levels (4/8 or 5/10) with Badugi too. But, don't go there any weekend expecting it to be running. That game runs only on coordinated weekend dates.

I did not know that PA approved NL 2-7 SD. I'd love to play that game. Are you sure. If so, Ari would spread it if there was interest.

I would be up for a mixed game as well.
Might I suggest N.O.P.E. ?

(NLHE, O8, PLO, Stud8)

IMO, That's the PERFECT mix game (I'm not a LHE or stud hi fan at all)....1/2 NLHE/PLO 5-10 O8/Stud-8.

Excellent suggestion sir...I like the way you think. I know it won't ever get off....but one can dream.

You guys could get it off. Pick a date and get some responses from people. Make a thread for the game like I did at DP. Easily could play, but first get approval from the management. Go a month in advance for the first game and I'll be happy to help spread the word....or I'll make the thread or maybe I'll come up and take a seat first time out. After all, I owe Ari a favor. What limits would you play? Talk to Ari about it the next time you're in the room first and get his take or send him a PM or get him to post his thoughts. Ari, what do you think?

I made my Parx debut last night, sat at the 15-30 table from 8pm-3am and played terribly and had some bad beats, but didn't lose much. The room is very nice, but it's a little disappointing to me that the casino is in a separate building. I like to walk through the Borg on a Friday or Saturday night to see what kind of action and buzz there is around the casino, and this is kind of a buzzkill. But I know, we are poker players, and 2p2ers as well, so it's not about the fun stuff. Regardless, great to see some limit holdem, the 15 game was pretty full all night, and there was an 8-16 table up as well. Looks like all the limit guys from Harrah's Chester came over to Parx, and a cute Russian dealer as well. Anyhow, good job Ari and those involved with setting up this room. I don't get out much anymore, but I can't wait to make a return visit.

Laymedown's approach is the best, especially for advance planning.

Anyone up for N.O.P.E. tonight 8-9pm? I've heard some people trying to get O.E. going at a higher limit than 4/8. 5/10 would be a step in the right direction and I suppose pippen suggested the 5/10 limit so that it would be a red chip game as much as possible.

Also, the choice of NOPE vs HOSE is definitely going to get a different set of players. It seems the times that the 8/16 HOSE has gone at PARX the core group are limit holdem players.

I will be there tomorrow after the harrahs Chester 1130 tournament, maybe they will hang a picture of me since I will be winning their 1st ever tournament. I'm guessing I will be up at parx around 4ish, 1/2 PLO sounds great!!!

Not sure, but earlier in this thread someone posted a list of approved games and single draw 2-7 was on there.

Not sure if Ari would spread it and not sure how good of a game it would be actually. You would need antes to get any type of action going imo. If you played it 1/2, think you would need a button ante of $2 or something.

I would love to play but not with 8 other 2+2ers lol. I'm going to sit in that game one day and before any action I'm asking everyone if they know what 2+2 is and what their screen names are . Lol

I'll be playing Harrah's until PARX gets tourneys. Hopefully they get up and running soon. Why is it taking so long for PARX tourneys? Anyone have an idea when there are coming.

that is all
