So I ended up buying gas cards with my points, I know its a big markup but I'm never going to buy a hotel room there and the prices for everything are marked up food included. At least i have money I can spend off site now.

If they are going to give me 15 points everytime I show up and another 12 for 8 hrs of 1/2nl, I'll never spend that unless I buy something. Whats the difference in buying a $50 gas for 87.5 points or a $2 slice of pizza for 3.5 points.

There is a way to shop on line. Go into the Dream Rewards Gallery and ask them.

Did they up the price of a stopnshop card? You used to be able to get 3:2 for the card and then use it at SnS gas station.

Anyone else see that the Foxwoods Poker Room will be shut down from 6am-10am on July 26th? I wonder how many people will go over to Mohegan that typically wouldn't or haven't before?

They are re-branding the room with new signage.

The soft opening starts at 10am Monday. The official grand opening of the new Foxwoods World Poker Root Cellar will kick-off the August Mega Stack Challenge.

The grand opening festivities are rumored to include a Moonie mass wedding ceremony.

As part of the re-branding, they are also revamping various services in the room. Massages will now be provided by retired Hooters girls. Heineken is being replaced with PBR. Dealers are being issued Louisville Sluggers for use in responding to IWTSTH requests. Perhaps most significantly, the Foxwoods floor people are having their titles changed to more accurately reflect their job descriptions. They are now going to be called “Chaos Facilitators.”

Sorry about that. My comment was entirely tongue in cheek. I have no idea what they are doing for that 4 hour period Monday morning. Although, given the amount of dead space in the room, renting it out for a Moonie wedding ceremony wouldn't be a complete impossibility...

I heard a few months ago that the WPT was no longer going to be affilated with the room so maybe this is the reason.

I have no idea how true it is I just remember hearing it.

How many ppl are normally in that room on a monday morning between 6-10am? I can't imagine it's >75 ppl on average. They def chose the best possible time imo

The $2, $10, and possibly the $2.50 chips have the WPT symbol on them. Any chips that do not play in the MGM casino have this WPT side instead of a MGM side.

I always thought that all chips in foxwoods played at any/all table games

Nope. The $2 and $10 chips are exclusive to the poker room. Also those chips are for specific stakes and won't play at tables that don't use them (ex: can't use either at 1/2nl).

And the pink $2.50 chips have MGM logo, since they're used upstairs too (blackjack).

I don't think so, only because the website said something to the effect of the World Poker Room reopening.
