But I am not surprised that the MSC floor made a wrong ruling. I am surprised that they did subsequently correct it.

That's why I don't play there any more.
I think you meant Foxwoods...not Mohegan Sun Casino

Anyone play on Saturday? Foxwood's computer was down, nobody got player points. You can still get your points if you talk to a poker room floor supervisor, and they will get your points entered.

Also, I busted a guy going south with 4 green chips at 1/2 NL. Table 76 last night. "Hey, where did your green chips go?" "Answer: They are in my pocket". The dealer backed me up, and he put them back in play.

The wonder of it all.

When on Saturday was this?
I played Saturday from about 7:30 AM to about 6 PM, got points with no problem.

I played from about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday until about 11:00 p.m., 2/5 NL.

I also played last night, and that's when a bunch of 1/2 NL people were talking about it.

Craps players - I have an unconfirmed report that you now only pay commission on a buy bet if it hits, not before. This lowers the house edge on a 4/10 buy from 4.76% to 1.67%! It also makes it better to buy the 5/9 now rather than place, going from 4.00% to 2.00%. It's still best to place (1.52%) the 6/8 vs buying them (2.27%).

QOUTE: what the **** kind of ruling is that? if they rotate decks, then that card was in there for awhile, and all the previous hands dealt with that deck should be null and void by that logic.[/QUOTE]

It was a Robert's Rules kind of ruling, listed under "Irregularities."

"3. If a card with a different color back appears during a hand, all action is void and all chips in the pot are returned to the respective bettors. If a card with a different color back is discovered in the stub, all action stands.

4. If two cards of the same rank and suit are found, all action is void, and all chips in the pot are returned to the players who wagered them (subject to next rule)."

I'm glad they got it right, but it would have saved alot of problems if the correct ruling was made initially.

Good catch, and it is great to see that the dealer correctly backed you up.

Did they know on what hand the deck was fouled?

Unless there was a card swap between the decks, it would have to be the current hand, since the auto-shuffler would detect 51 cards in the other deck.

anybody know if the 150-300 or 200-400 mixed games have been going? or has it only been the 75 games on weekends?

There was so much humidity in the room the auto shufflers were constantly fouling. There was no way the dealers could tell the difference between a jam or a bad deck count.

I'm planning on playing in the first event of the August Mega Stack - the 2-day $340 buyin. I haven't decided yet if I will just buy straight in, or try the $80 single-table satellites to win my way in ($68/$12, with top 2 winning seats). I figure they will be just as soft as the $120 sit n gos, which I usually cash in, but if I get unlucky in a few I've now wasted $160 or more and would still have to buy in for $340. Hmm.

That's true I forgot about that. I was playing in the 90's that night. Floor said it was mostly happening in our area, probably due to proximity to the doors going outside.

Has anybody gotten a rollaway bed at MGM? I tried a couple of weeks ago but was told they can't because there's not enough room. I seem to recall being able to do so in the past (over a year ago).

I've had a rolly bed twice at Pequot, never at MGM. I'm sure it could fit, but may block the entrance.

Yes the only place you could put it would be across from the bathroom against the front/side doors. Rollies are easy at the other hotels... you could even fit 2 and have room to walk around.

Wow humidity in the poker room? Every time I'm there It's freezing cold I can't imagine that place being warm at all.

last time I stayed at MGM they told me that if the double queen rooms weren't available like I requested then they could send up a rollaway no problem... maybe that's only for the single bed rooms?

It's been warm there the past 2 weekends.

Ahhhh that could very well be. There's enough room between the king bed and the wall. I'm going to ask the front desk tomorrow.
