I ve played the hammer bounty in AC many times. I guess no one knew it was illegal, we kept it going for hours. Tons of fun.

If i decide to run the pick chip game, there will be an understanding of when it will run and how many games. I might have to limit the pink chip to one game and one game only. We run two of three 10-20 now and i really do not want to hurt that game. Does everyone agree?

Stan
Stan, that makes sense. Run one game and monitor the list of interest for that & 10/20. If you can save the lists periodically, or at least print them out periodically, you can evaluate how much of the interest is from cannabilizing 10/20 vs. just getting more interest from others & perhaps even 3/6 or 1/2NL players.

I might have to limit the game to just weekends for a while to make sure the 10-20 goes on Mon and Tue.

If pink only runs on weekends and you limit it to 1 table, the 10/20 game might even see increased traffic from non-regular players who are waiting for a seat in the pink game (a de facto must move).

If you have the pink chip game this Saturday or next Saturday I guarantee I'll come play in it. After that I'm going to be out of town for awhile, but I'd still play when I came back.

I understand the fear that 10/20 would be cannibalized. But I believe there are so many people currently playing 1/2 because they don't have a home between 3/6 and 10/20, the pink chip game will give them a limit game to play.

I am hoping if the pink chip game is to be a long term reality, it actually starts to cannibalize more 1/2 players than the few players you take away from 10/20.

Stan,

I appreciate your willingness to listen to your customers via this thread or in person. If the pink chip game does become a success without cannabilizing, I urge you to consider 2/3 chip structure for higher limits as well.

Live game report? Deepstack tourney update?

If you really think about it, who would know best? you guys would. How many rooms have you played in, have managers that think they know more than everyone else and go tone deaf? If i need information and answers, i know who to ask!

Ehh the 11am might as well be a 30k because it always hits over 300 runners.

Min cashed in the 11AM one today, JJ vs 66 and 6 on the flop, weee. Was kind of a funny tournament, I got sucked out on the river a lot and I sucked out a few important hands later towards the money as well. Not bad though, shame I couldn't have holded my JJ, I was super short and that would have put me up to at least a re-ship stack.

Saw Phelps yesterday morning when he was playing the 10/25, didn't stay as I knew floor would be called if I stayed. I get people getting upset when people are making stupid comments and asking "how much are you up or down?" and as a result don't want rail birds hanging around.

Played the deepstack on Monday, ran like crap, AA cracked by K8 (lost as little as I could probably thanks to the villains image being crazy LAG I was trying to trap but knew better when the river easily could have given him the better hand and did) then AK cracked by A3 for all my chippies @ 300/600. Oh well, maybe next time.

Funny moment happened during my time there, 3 times we had a dealer deal a turn card before the action was complete on the flop, which results in the then turn card being burned, another turn being dealt, and then the card that was mistakenly dealt turn card being shuffled back in and a new river being dealt. Obviously there's a chance of that original turn card coming back, and yes the 2 times we made it to the river in those cases (the other time we didn't make it past the flop), the same turn card ended up coming on the river. Amusingly some guy was joking on the second time "35-1 the same card comes up on the river anyone?" Too bad I didn't take his bet .

Finally met TAB as well too, still haven't managed to find you yet Stan, must be looking in the wrong spot.

Oh yea as for the Deepstack, when I left at like 5 PM or so they were down to 2 tables.

I'll be around on Saturday @ noon through Sunday afternoon and would be happy to play the pink game, shorthanded if necessary just to get it going. Let me know if there's anything I can do, and if it's going to run.

Is there any chance you'd ever condsider making the tourney 150+25, w/ 12k in starting chips? Just for the 7pm.

Stan and TAB, you guys total kill it the way you run the Room. Everyday you guys put on a mother****ing clinic. I respect that. but please do this

Actually speaking of structure for the daily's, I think it would be cool if the 3rd level was 75/150 instead of 100/200 then the fourth level can be still 100/200 with 25 antes. I don't think that'll really affect the end result in terms of time taken to finish the tourney, but I think it'll be nice for a little extra play early on.

I know, I know, it's just a dream. If the game goes, it has to be out on the floor where others can see it so it gains interest from other players.

I can not make it this weekend, but I was already planning on being there next Saturday (8/15) hoping to play 5/10, probably playing 3/6. If you guys get the pink game going this weekend, I will be there next week to help keep it going.

Stan,

Have you ever read Read Mason Mamuth's "Poker Essays"? There are three volumes published about twenty years ago.

Beside strategy, he writes about adjustment to the games that attract and keep more players, and how to adjust antes/blinds to speed up or slow down a game. I also like his essays about general poker room operations, dealers, ettiquette, house rules and his fellow players, which are some of the funniest.

Required reading for poker room professionals in my opinion.

According to the thread dedicated to that game, it has become wildly popular and generates some insane action and fun. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27...3/index9.html.

For those unfamiliar with the format... the details are as follows...
**Bad Sportsmanship Encouraged
ornery dealers, slow rollers & grown men crying...
**Blinds: $2-$5NL
**Buy-in: $300-$3000
**Mandatory live straddle on the button (as a result plays more like $5-$10NL)
**Seven Deuce Bounty ($10/player to the winner)

Even if there were just one or two tables of this running on weekends, I think it'd be great to have. It would give those of us on the east coast a chance to escape our apparent nitty tight passive reputation. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27...-poker-549507/
Perhaps the worst idea I've ever heard of on this site! Encourage bad sportsmanship and bad dealers????? No way!!! I'ld run from any room that did this.

Not to mention that straddling is illegal in NJ.
